I am 63 years old and have been working as a safety engineer for almost 30 years in an international chemical company in the north of Cologne - and July 2, 2025, after 47 years of service, will be my last day of work.

My family and I have actually been camping since the early 1990s. Initially, we traveled with a small car and camping gear. Later, we booked tents at various locations in Europe through international camping platforms, and from 2015 to 2023, we traveled around the area in our small camper van—primarily along the Moselle and Rhine rivers, but also a bit further afield, such as Austria, the Netherlands, and northern Germany (North Sea and Baltic Sea). In 2022, we were on the road almost every weekend from the beginning of February to the end of November. During this time, we used the camper primarily as a motorhome and took many city trips with overnight stays at a campsite.
Our new motorhome, which is more in keeping with the character of a campervan and is used intensively, has been parked at the end of March 2023—a mobile apartment, so to speak. Since we've had so many great experiences with the camper, we didn't want to simply sell it, but rather rent it out to young families and nice people on this platform, perhaps bringing joy to others, especially young families who certainly have other concerns at the moment than buying a campervan.
But be careful, it's a camper van, and you have to like camping. And dogs are welcome – but please no more than a small dog weighing around 10 kg. It's simply not suitable for the 40 kg class (as the last renter learned).
