Welcome to our treasured, much loved, motorhome, Hamish who joined us in April 2026. We have enjoyed many adventures around Scotland, England and Europe including the North Coast 500, Skye, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Luxembourg in our first motorhome (Harris - also on goboony) and now look forward to continuing our travels with Hamish.
Hamish sleeps up to 4 people and is perfect for short or long-term rental for individuals, couples, families or friends looking to travel, explore and enjoy Scotland and the UK.
He can be driven on a standard UK Category B car licence. The Swift Escape 664 is 6.72 metres long, 2.31m wide and 2.9m high which makes manoeuvring manageable on UK roads and campsites.
The Motorhome has two gas cylinders which can be refilled at many petrol stations. Hamish has gas/electric blow air heating and hot water. He has hands-free mobile phone connection and a radio system with Bluetooth connection. Hamish has a rear cycle carrier for 2 bikes and a garage/under bed storage for storing all of your luggage and camping gear.
To the front, there is a spacious lounge/dining area with a removable table that seats 6 people with the 2 swivel chairs in the cab. This converts into a small, comfortable double bed at night if required.
To the middle, there is a modern kitchen with a kitchen sink, a 3-burner gas hob with a glass cover, oven, grill and microwave. There is also ample storage compartments, and a 3-way-power fridge with freezer compartment. Kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery, cups, mugs, pots and pans, etc are included. Opposite the kitchen there is a wardrobe suitable for storing clothing etc.
To the rear there is a fixed bed with a window and lighting/reading spotlights. There are 3 lockers above with storage baskets for phones etc.
Also to the rear is the large bathroom featuring a toilet (with external cassette), vanity unit, storage locker, hand basin, shower and shower curtain.
Under the bed is a storage/garage area that can be accessed internally or from outside lockers on either side of the motorhome. This contains 3 camping chairs, a camping table, a small coffee table, picnic blanket, plus the essential items you'll need for emptying and priming the toilet cassette and grey waste water.
There are 2 levelling blocks and 3 x 240V Electrical Hook-up cables, including an extension cable to give you access to more power points. If available, we can provide an additional power bank for use when off-grid (please enquire).
All windows and roof lights have blackout blinds and fly screens.
Collection and drop off for the motorhome can be arranged at or near our home in St Andrews which is an amazing first stop for your adventures. Parking for your own vehicle would be on the street near our home at your own risk. We are always happy to be flexible where possible for check-out/in and happy to collect and drop off for free at Leuchars train station (7 miles away). For a fee, we can (where possible) collect/drop off from Edinburgh Airport (50 miles away).
All we ask is that you look after our motorhome as if it were your own and have an amazing time exploring Scotland and the UK, making memories.
