Welcome to our Carado i447, 4 berth!
Insurance included.
We have had many travellers booking with us especially from Spain, ( and some from Wales & England not to mention locally). We have had families of 4 with small, even adult children, and couples looking for that special trip. You can’t go wrong-wakening up to the beautiful view (and the Scottish scenery!)Don’t be afraid of the motorhome being too big or worried if you drive on the left normally. All our drivers have got used to driving and the dimensions very quickly - so read on! We will be there to help every step of the way!
Our motorhome is the epitome of luxury. It feels as though it is brand new with less than 15000 miles travelled (as of September 2025).
We can arrange pick up at airports Glasgow (GLA)and Edinburgh (EDI). Please ask.
The autumn and winter is the perfect time to book our motorhome! It is very cosy with both gas and electric heating for the cooler evenings as the summer gradually fades.
In the summer the habitation air conditioning enables us to retreat from the baking sun of Spain to the coolness of the van. This year Scotland has been so unusually hot! Even in September.
The accommodation is made up of an overhead cab double bed and a private rear cabin double or twin with ensuite shower and separate toilet. The rear bed can be easily changed to a very large double or twin. The shower has fast heating hot water system. Please note that it is a water system that needs refilling regularly and that it will be your responsibility to monitor this. In any motorhome the water tank limits the amount of water available( over 100 litres max). This limitation to the water tank is simply due to driving within the weight limit of 3500kg. Regular filling of the tank enables full use. We recommend using campsites where water can be topped up and waste water safely disposed of appropriately. However, there are lots of facilities available where this can be done on the road! And you can enjoy all the appliances on 230V at campsites that you could wish for - coffee machineyour hairdryer, straighteners etc. TVs, WiFi, lighting all work from the leisure 12V supply-suitable for off road. Gas heating and cooking complements this.
There is a solid dividing door between the rear accommodation and the rest of the van which can be closed to give privacy for changing/sleeping/showering, to allow a little one to nap or to conduct business matters in peace and quiet. The beds and the very comfortable lounge area are all close to one of the two new smart digital TVs.
We love tech so we have fitted a brand new WiFi system that enables streaming of TV or games content, multiple users browsing on mobile phones at the same time or the use of the van for business purposes. We often use it for both at the same time - our 9 year old son loves getting his own time and space away from parents in the van or to invite his new friends back. (Use of the WiFi is included subject to fair usage and available network). It's great to lie back and enjoy the latest family movie together or retreat to the bedroom to catch up on the latest drama. On rainy days there are many online games or videos to entertain the young ones. We play hard during the day and chill in the evening - cosy inside during the winter or under the awning with a barbecue nearby in the summer.
The van is automatic, diesel with satellite navigation, reversing camera, rear TV camera. It is extremely easy to drive due to the auto gearbox and the very large panoramic wind screen. The captain seats make any long journey a joy! An ordinary car driving licence is all that is required to drive away on your dream trip! Two of the seats in the cabin have Isofix points for children/baby which was a fundamental reason for us purchasing the model. The WiFi allows for children to watch videos online while travelling. Earphones can be paired with the TV to allow the driver to focus on the road.
There are two entry doors with small steps for ease of access. There is an extraordinarily large storage area (garage)at the rear which is accessed via a large door at both sides of the vehicle. Bicycles along with other luggage can be stored here. All the required cables and hoses are kept here for your use.
There is an extensive, wind out awning that gives shade all day long. This can only be used when there is no wind and it must be wound in every night.
There is a light and socket in the garage area which allows for external electric supply. The external shower enables you to get rid of the sand from between your toes or the mud from your boots before entering the van. The garage is heated thus drying out wet skiing, walking, diving or swimming gear.
The kitchen area has three gas burners, an oven and a grill. There is a large full size fridge with a freezer working with gas or electric and works throughout any journey. The table is moveable to accommodate up to 4/5 around the table. There are multiple storage areas with some 'secret' areas too. There is extensive cupboard space in the bedroom and kitchen area. The large garage enables you to keep the van tidy every day without the feeling of clutter. The captain chairs rotate fully for eating, watching the TV or even using a laptop.
The gas can easily be refilled via a LPG outlet at the side of the van. This can be done in a local garage in a similar way to fuel. There is also a 13kg back up gas canister.
We supply all linen, duvets, pillows, towels, mattress protectors free of charge. You are also welcome to bring your own. We can provide two child car seats and/or a booster seat on request free of charge. All cutlery, plates, cooking utensils and pots/pans are supplied.
Outdoor seats, recliners, table are all included. We also supply a starter kit of toilet roll, kitchen roll, coffee pods, tea, bottles of still water and blue chemical for the toilet.
We offer free secure car parking (at your own risk) at our detached home (high metal electric gates in a secluded driveway, with camera surveillance) and free pick up from the local train station. We are happy to discuss airport or city centre pick up or drop off locally of the van to you.
We are committed to doing all we can to prepare you for your trip and will be available to contact throughout your trip. We can help you plan the trip for your adventure!
Please get in touch if there is any more information we can provide. It should be noted that many bloggers and apps which supply off grid parking locations rarely take account of the size of vehicle. Please ask us-we have experience of almost every location in Scotland.
In a similar way, satellite navigation systems don’t take into account the fact that motorhomes have a slightly lower maximum allowable speed in Scotland or that there are roads which are simply not suitable. We have the solution!
We love this motorhome and the lifestyle/adventures it has given us. We want to share this with you. All we ask is that you treat our motorhome with the care and attention we have given it and that you bring back some great stories from your adventure!
Please note that smoking/vaping is not allowed under any circumstances. We are sorry but cannot allow pets of any kind.
We look forward to hearing from you soon! We are usually able to be flexible with pick up and drop off times unless we have another booking (this can give you almost an extra day during your hire!)so please discuss your requirements.
Best wishes
Helen
