Silverstar – 4p Volkswagen camper van from 2011

Welcome! We're glad you're interested in renting our Silverstar campervan, a Volkswagen Transporter T5 equipped with the correct environmental stickers, so you can easily access the city. It's a reliable, self-built campervan that we've owned for three years now. Our adult children have made full use of it this summer, and after Lowlands, Silverstar will be back at our door.
Our simple, practical campervan is suitable for two adults and possibly two young children. There are four seats with seatbelts. The rear bench seat is a 1.5-seater, so it's best used by two or three people. It has a leisure battery and a 38-liter refrigerator, allowing you to camp off-grid for two or three days. There's also a 12V outlet for charging your phone and the USB lighting.
Silverstar doesn't have an indoor kitchen, but it does have a slide-out kitchen unit at the rear. So you can cook outside under the tailgate canopy. The slide-out kitchen (refrigerator, gas burners, sink) offers ample storage space for your groceries. There's an Omnia camping oven. A covered tent is available for inclement weather. If you want to make a quick coffee or grab a sandwich while on the road, the living area also offers dining facilities, with a drop-down door that serves as a table. If you're staying for a while, you can attach a table inside and create a seating area by rotating the driver's and front passenger's seats. I've often used the table in the van for work with my laptop.
If you'd like to bring a porta-potty, that's possible upon request. We have one available. It will take up some living space, but you can also store it outside or under the tailgate canvas. You won't find a shower in this type of campervan, but as an adventurer, you can, of course, take a shower off the grid with the provided water bag. After a few days, it's handy to drive a bit to charge the battery and replenish your water supply.
There's ample storage space for clothes under the passenger seat. As soon as you arrive and raise the pop-up roof, you can store extra items like coats or a weekend bag "up there."
Extras.
Silverstar is equipped with a retractable awning and a bike rack for two bikes, which can be attached to the tow bar. The van has tinted rear windows, but for extra privacy, there are magnetic curtains for the inside of the windows. This keeps it nice and dark and cool. We have two mattress toppers available for extra comfort. Sheets are provided.
🚐 Silverstar is a self-built campervan that drives wonderfully, is in top mechanical condition, and is maintained by the Volkswagen dealer. The van has been fitted with winter tires since October/November.
