Travel with the iconic VW bus, but 100% electric. This ID Buzz is just under 5 meters and really super smartly designed by the guys from Outbase in the Netherlands. This gives you enough space for 2 adults or for 2 adults and max 2 small children (3 adults is also possible), while you can still easily maneuver, even in the city.
A TOUR:
* One of our criteria was: we don't want to feel like we're camping in a car. This camper van is cosily furnished with ecological, warm materials.
* The bus feels surprisingly spacious thanks to the lifting roof, which also contains a 110 cm bed and the front seats that you can turn around.
* Converting the rear seat into a 135 cm folding bed is very easy thanks to the smart mattress, which you simply roll up during the day, sheets and all.
* Thanks to its short length, you can easily park in a normal parking space (no parking garages).
What else is there?
• A solar panel on the roof allows you to easily camp 'wild' for one or more nights.
• All the sockets and plugs you need.
• A table that you can install indoors and outdoors and extra chairs for outdoors.
• A small kitchen unit with cold water and 2 electric induction hobs.
• An optional dry toilet for 25 euros per week (please let us know if you would like to use this).
AND WHAT ABOUT THE DRIVING RANGE?
Of all the electric buses currently on the market, the ID Buzz is one of the best performing. The official range is 450 km, 300 km is easily done. That is about the distance a sensible driver travels between 2 stops. This way you can easily travel 800 to 1000 km per day.
Don't try to drive south in one go, but let the journey begin as soon as you leave our street and also stop here and there along the way. An electric bus can be connected to the charging station if you visit a city somewhere or spend a day at the beach.
With an electric car, the rule is: the lighter, the further. Our equipped bus can carry an additional 410 kilos according to regulations, including people. To give you more comfort, we suggest that you do not take suitcases and bags in the car, but unpack them and use the many cupboards. We will keep an eye on your empty suitcases in the meantime.
HOW DO YOU PICK UP THE BUS?
You can easily park your car in our neighborhood while you go camping. Our bus is easily accessible by tram and if necessary and possible for us, we will pick you up at the station.
