We rent out our Vancent!
What started as a corona project has already brought us many adventures.
We converted a van into a camper that sleeps two adults. We thought it was a shame that it would stand still if we couldn't travel with it, so we hope that it will be used more often via Goboony!
It is a Citroën Jumper from 2015, diesel, Euronorm 5. It has 6 gears, which means it can easily take you high into the mountains. It has a reversing camera and a Bluetooth transmitter.
It is a self-build camper, which we have converted ourselves. You can see that in its uniqueness and decoration, but also in edges or cracks that a professional would probably have done differently. It is an adventurous way of traveling, but all the necessary basic comfort is present!
What can you find in the Vancent?
- Kitchen with 2-burner gas stove and spacious worktop to prepare delicious meals
- A sink and tap with running (cold) water
- We have a large refrigerator with a freezer drawer to keep the aperitifs cold. This works on electricity via our solar panel!
- A cozy sitting area with 2 sofas and a large extendable table (ideal for rummikub)
- A spacious bed with down and pillows (185 by 155 - a tall person can better place it diagonally)
- Lots of storage space; kitchen cabinets, benches, sliding wardrobes but also lots of storage space under the bed
- 2 windows with fly screen and solar eclipse + small window in the partition wall
- A solar shower (with pressure) that you can use outside
- A toilet (portapotti 365)
- A diesel heater that warms you on cold days
We tried to focus as much as possible on comfortable travel during the construction. That is why we have a large 68-liter clean water tank that you can fill up from the outside of the bus. For the same reason, we have attached the 90-liter waste water tank under the bodywork so that it lasts a long time and can be emptied easily. We can only recommend the use of natural products because that makes emptying the waste water tank a lot easier. In addition, the ceiling is also high enough so that you can stand upright in the bus without any problems. Our bus is fully insulated, which ensures that it does not get too hot in the summer and not too cold in the winter!
What else is included in our van?
Kitchen equipment: cutlery, crockery, pots and pans, glasses, cups, wine glasses, bialetti for coffee,
kitchen towels, garbage cans and garbage bags, salt and pepper...
Camping equipment: two chairs, table, tablecloth, light, citronella candles...
Entertainment: Hammock, petanque, frisbee...
As well as two folding bicycles to help you get around easily.
First aid kit and fire extinguisher
Books with travel tips
What we like about our Vancent is that it is suitable for camping off-grid for a few days!
Due to our electrical installation (solar panel, battery, etc.) there is lighting, 2 USB ports of 12V to charge mobile phones, Ipad, ..., 2 230V sockets (note, these are suitable for basic electronics. Things that require a lot of wattage such as hairdryers, kettles ... are not suitable).
Vancent is also a van (light truck) not a mobile home or camper van which makes finding a parking space or place to camp (wild) easier!
When driving 110 km/h on the motorway, Vancent consumes the least.
There is also the option to leave your car with us during the rental period.
