We rented the van for 8 nights after staying 2 nights in an Edinburgh hotel and went north to Pitlochry, Aviemore, Inverness, Loch Ness, Skye, Glencoe and Stirling. We drove around 660 miles and used about 100 litres of fuel. It was an easy journey to get to Lorna's in North Berwick and the handover was smooth. Everything was provided including towels and bedding which is unusual for van hire but was great for us arriving in Edinburgh by plane. Lorna sent some videos in advance of the more tricky things. The van was easy to drive being an automatic, but it is 5.6m long, which gives lots of interior space but needs a bit more attention when parking as it's longer than most cars. The van is bit wider than a normal car, which means you need to get used to being further from the kerb as the driver, but it's not a problem at all on the many narrow and single track roads in the Highlands. We stayed 3 nights on camp sites including the first and last nights and wild camped the other nights. The views can be amazing when wild camping, but there's no toilet or shower in the van so you need to make unusual arrangements by yourself. It was easy to find places to wild camp when we went in May, but that might not be the case in high season. We declined Lorna's offer of a gas BBQ, but later thought it would have been a good idea as it would have been possible to cook outside the van which because there's no extractor in the kitchen part can make condensation or smells. The van was perfect! The diesel engine took the inclines like a champ. I was worried that the van was too far out of the way to start our journey from edinburgh, but the train station was a short walk from anywhere in town and the train ride was a beautiful adventure in itself. Lorna and steven were super helpful, friendly, and readily available for any questions we might have. They also provided thoughtful little extras like hand towels, antibacterial wipes, a mirror, can opener, french press etc...10/10 If you are thinking about it, just do it. May 2026

Everything was perfect! The van is clean, well organized, filled with everything you need! It has the perfect size for a road trip in Scotland. The location to pick up the van is very easy to find, especially as Lorna gave us all the informations to reach them. And North Berwick is a lovely sea-city. We absolutely loved our holiday in the van! We went round Scotland with two young kids for 10 days and could have easily done much longer. The van was comfortable, nice to drive, big enough for a family of 4 and had everything you needed day to day already supplied. Lorna and Steven were fantastic hosts, they were super friendly and helpful and made us feel at ease. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they responded quickly to answer any queries. We would love to hire the van again in the future and can’t recommend the van, and Lorna and Steven highly enough. August 2025

Très bon accueil de Lorna et son mari lors de la remise des clés. Le van est en très bon état et très agréable à conduire. Nous étions une famille de 4, 2 adultes et 2 enfants dont une ado. Le van est idéal en termes de couchage, equipement pour la cuisine et vie à bord. On a parcouru 1200km sur les belles routes écossaises, parfois étroites, et le faible encombrement du van nous permet d'aller partout. Wat een luxe, deze ruime en zeer complete camper! Wij hebben een geweldige reis door Schotland gemaakt met 2 volwassenen en 2 tieners van 14 jaar. De tieners hadden in het stapelbed hun eigen ruimtes. Het 2 persoonsbed ligt heerlijk en is met een druk op de knop overdag tegen het plafond weg te werken. Lorna en Steven zijn zeer gastvrij en prettig in de communicatie, zowel vooraf als tijdens de beide overdrachtsmomenten (en via Whatsapp tijdens de reis). Ze hebben aan alles gedacht om de reis aangenaam te maken. Erg fijn! Kortom: aanrader! July 2025

Lorna and her husband are super lovely and handsome people. Lorna would have been reachable per message for us at everytime. The van was really beautiful and has everything you need for Scotland and a nice trip there. I would 10/10 recommend to book Lorna's Van and would do it again and again. June 2025
