We had an excellent experience of hiring Champ (which we drove all round the Highlands). Billy communicated with us brilliantly before, during and after the trip. He helped us problem solve any issues that came up and was generally a nice person to deal with. Champ drives really well and although it was quite snug for one adult and three big gangly teenagers, we managed just fine. Bedding and towels were ready and waiting for us and the kitchen and cleaning stuff is well equipped on board. We’d definitely hire from Billy again. August 2025

It was just great! A dream vacation thanks to Billy and his motorhome that was baptized: Bagpipes. Billy is a really friendly, kind and available person. Always listening. His motorhome is perfect. We recently had a wonderful adventure exploring East Scotland in a camper van, and it was an experience to remember! From the start, everything went smoothly, especially with the keys handover. We ended up being three travelers instead of two, and Billy was incredibly thoughtful, even fetching an additional set of sheets to make sure we were all comfortable. Our journey took us through a breathtaking route: Inverness, Elgin, Newburgh, Aberdeen, Dunnottar Castle, and finally back to Edinburgh. Despite the famously cool Scottish weather, staying in the cozy van was a unique and memorable experience—we genuinely enjoyed the freedom and warmth it offered, rain or shine. Unfortunately, we encountered a hiccup when the van's starter broke down in Carnoustie. However, Billy’s prompt support was invaluable; he quickly helped us secure a last-minute B&B for two nights, ensuring we could still make the most of our time in the city. A big thank you to Billy for his kindness and support! Lastly, a note to Goboony: while the platform is helpful, the fees you take from van owners seem a bit high, which can make deals less competitive. Lower fees would certainly make the experience even better for everyone involved! November 2024

This was our first time hiring a motorhome. Billy made the experience very smooth. Highly recommend. 4 star only because there were a couple of challenges with starting the vehicle and the gear. Else everything was perfect. September 2024

I recently embarked on my first motorhome adventure with my family, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience. The motorhome we hired was perfect for our needs, providing a blend of comfort, convenience, and adventure that made our trip unforgettable. Driving the motorhome was much easier than anticipated. It handled well on the road, and the large windows provided fantastic views of the scenery. We loved the freedom to stop wherever we wanted, whether it was for a quick lunch break or an overnight stay at a campsite. Overall, our first motorhome experience was a huge success, thanks to the excellent service from the Billy and the fantastic vehicle we hired. We're already looking forward to our next road trip! It was my first time driving a campervan and I was a bit concerned. But driving champ was easy after the first kms. Inside it's spacious, clean, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable 😅. We rented it for 6 days and drove towards Aberdeen, Inverness, Skye, Fort William and then direction of Glasgow and back to Edinburgh. We had a perfect time, with sunny and warm days, and cooler nights. The batteries lives are long and more than sufficient for off-grid sleeping, the water compartment is large enough to allow us to need refilling just every 3 days. Billy was really fast in responding and answering all our questions, and everything went smooth and without any complications or stress. I highly recommend having Champs company around the highlands, I'm definitely doing more campervan vacations in the future and will definitely book with Billy if we are back to Scotland again in the future. :) May 2024

"Champ" is the perfect name, for the MH and for it's owner! Billy is the friendliest, most helpful, mellow and supportive owner you could ask for, always helped with anything we asked or needed. And the MH itself, while appearing small, is like Harry Potter's Quidditch tent. It feels spacious and is designed perfectly. The living room area with the couch is genius and give you lots of room for sitting and stuff, and in 2 min becomes a comfy bed for kids. The kitchen has all you need, and it just felt like home. We absolutely loved taking it, were sad to part, and enjoyed it a lot. Note, it is not the newest of cars, in case new and shiny is your thing, but everything works, and it has lots of small retouches that we loved (Microwave, awning, hot water etc) October 2023

Billy was the perfect host and very helpful. He assured us that we could contact him for anything during the trip and responded very quickly to the few questions we did have. Everything went great and we had a fantastic time. The motorhome was immaculately clean and was perfect for what we needed. I highly recommend renting from Billy, we couldn't have been happier. A great host, and great camper van! It was our first camper van experience, it was made all that better with Billy putting me at ease when meeting him, and also when dropping off.
