We had a great time driving Bilbo all over Europe with our 2 dogs. Adaptive cruise and Apple CarPlay helped greatly in making the mileage manageable. It was always good to pull over for a fresh cup of tea. Next time, we’ll probably opt for a larger vehicle for a trip of this length and Steve showed us a great option. September 2025

However, I actually preffered driving the Swift Edge, and overall I preffered the layout and feel of this motorhome. We rented the camper for a one week trip around Wales and the Lake District. We were let down by our original seller and Andy was very helpful and accommodating last minute. Life saver! This was a great hire and worked flawlessly. Andy was great with communication and exceptionally thorough with hand-over instructions. Even as a novice, I felt confident and comfortable when setting off on my trip. From arranging transport from Heathrow to pickup point and providing feedback on any issues which we encountered along the way with the van, Andy provided prompt responses via WhatsApp. We spent 3 weeks exploring in the UK from the Isle of Man in the NW down to Southampton. We picked up a brilliant grey camper from Andy for our annual Latitude trip. What a lovely man, and a great all round experience! The camper was clean, super comfortable and easy to drive and use. Our introduction was comprehensive and I was confident setting it up when we arrived at our destination. Throughout, communication was fast and all my questions answered thoroughly. One tip! It has Isofix, which was great, but we found the back seat too high for the front stabilising leg of our car seat to engage properly when using the isofix base. I've since read this is common with certain camper seats, so you may need to consider a bit more research ahead of time, or bringing another seat if yours is this type. If you use top tether, you're golden! We had a great time and my little girl was sad to return our "borrow van". I hope we can borrow it for another adventure soon! Thanks Andy! July 2024

Andy is an absolute gent and a pleasure to hire from. The paperwork was easy to complete and Andy was very helpful. The van was great and easy to drive even on a wet rainy night up the M1. However a van with no heating facility in mid October was a toughie and a little unpleasant. Forgetting the heater was an oversight but one which made sleeping no fun at all and the evenings a struggle to keep warm. Overall a good fun weekend and one we will try again come spring / summer. The van was exceptionally clean and tidy when I picked it up and a great handover from Andy which fully explained everything which was much appreciated by this novice as it is only the second time I have rented a campervan. I would highly recommend, the van was great and easy to use. It was really clean and had plenty of space. Particularly the extra head space, that I could put down when driving Andy went through everything when I collected the van, so I felt really confident in how to use it. An excellent experience from the very beginning to the very end. Andy was supremely gentle with a camper van neophyte! The van itself was fantastic. Almost new, the orange colour made it stand out in a sea of grey and white clones on Skye. The large wheels sneered at the poor roads exacting their toll on lesser vehicles. Very easy to drive for 1500 miles in 10 days. Good driving position and easy to hustle along. Good stereo. The interior’s immaculate and the bed’s very comfortable as long as you pinch the mattress from the roof space. Should I ever need another camper, I will definitely be back. Thanks, Andy. June 2023

Our whole experience with Andy and his van was fantastic. We hired it for a few days to drive up to Lake District and we couldn't ask for a better experience. Before the rental Andy spent time to explain to us everything in the van, and make sure we're fully prepared and happy for the trip. During the trip we had accidentally dislodged the mirror and were worried that it might be a problem, Andy was responsive and very sympathetic and we ended up fixing the problem in the end. When we returned the van we went a bit above the mileage limit and he graciously offered to not ask for the extra mile which we would've happily paid. The van ran amazingly during our trip, it was small enough that driving it was not too stressful, and big enough to fit two people and a small dog. If you're looking to hire a good quality campervan with a pleasant owner, definitely get in touch with Andy. May 2023

Andy's camper van was perfect for a weekend away exploring the Dorset coast over the Easter bank holiday. It was the perfect size for me, my wife and our medium sized dog. The van is very comfortable, both to drive and for relaxing in while stationary. It has everything you need (and more!). Andy is very knowledgeable and could not be more helpful; his communication was fast, efficient and polite. He spent some time showing me how everything works when I collected the van, but made it very clear he would gladly help if we needed to contact him while we were away. Andy comes across incredibly professional, but also very friendly, and it is clear that his main goal is for people to enjoy themselves. If you are considering booking, either as a first time or experienced camper van user, just go for it! We hired our camper van from Andy. From the time we confirmed our booking to the point when we dropped the van back, Andy has been extremely helpful. He was flexible with the timings of pick up and drop off. It was the first time we hired a camper van and Andy has been very prompt to respond to any of our queries even while we were on our holiday. The VW t6 'Rebellion' camper van is wonderful to drive. We are a family of 3, so worked perfect for us. Interiors are neat and tidy and there is a good amount of storage space. We took Bilbo the van to france on a six day, 900km round trip adventure from Calais to Mt St Michel (France) and loved every minute of it. The van was the perfect size, allowing us to fit into car parks and under 2m barriers while also being big enough to feel at home for two people. Thanks to its heater, we stayed nice and warm but would definitely recommend packing warm pjs, blankets and pillows to make sure you’re toasty throughout the night (we travelled in the winter). The little kitchen had everything we needed and we feasted on noodles and wraps for dinner - with the not so occasional baguette or croissant, of course. We didnt use the chemical toilet but it was good knowing it was there. The hose at the back of the van also helped us to wash off. Overall, we loved our trip and the freedom the van afforded us. Andy was extremely helpful and accomodating, even dropping us off at the station after we had returned the van. Highly Recommended! March 2023

Bilbo was immaculate. On collection she was completely clean and with only 10,000 miles under her belt she drove like a dream. Andy provided outstanding service from the moment I messaged him. He talked me through how the mileage worked before I booked, picked me up from the train station showed me around the van, was on hand for support during our trip and even gave us a wee discount. If considering Bilbo, I would highly recommend her. There’s something about VW T6 vans that just hits all the sweet spots (for 2 people). Everything worked better than expected. We brought a camping table and chairs with us, which proved essential for when you settle somewhere for a wild camp. Also make sure to bring a USB-C cable so you can plug into the van and use CarPlay for music + maps. August 2022

Absolutely excellent from start to finish! I can't thank Andy enough for his swift replies, honest approach, helpful tips and for going above and beyond our expectations. The camper van was new, very clean, with top-of-the-line fittings, fresh water & new gas bottle. Andy explained all the toys, and we used everything with ease. It has heating but to be honest it was warm enough without and we barely used it. The bed is comfy for 2, and the black-out-curtains mean a peaceful sleep. We cooked meals easily and the running water is a bonus! We fell in love with 'Bilbo Baggins' and didn't want to return it! I can't recommend Bilbo or Andy enough, and we will definitely book again.
