Hey, I'm Martin!

I'm married to Caroline (Caz) and we have to great Kids who are now 16 and 14. We bought the camper in late 2021 and have made it our own over the last 12 months. Adding a super pop top for the kids to sleep in as well as upgrading the stereo to an Apple Play unit, speakers in the rear and a small kitchen sink unit.

We are based in Somerset with easy access to the South West so we love taking off for weekends locally and exploring Devon & Cornwall. I'm also a keen runner and will head off with friends or on my own to explore the mountains and hills of Snowdonia, The Lakes and Highlands of Scotland.

The thing we love the most about the van is the bed, it's epic! a full kingsize Rib bed with the addition of a 2" foam topper makes it the best nights sleep ever, with blackout blinds all around the van is so dark and quiet, I think I sleep better in the van than I do at home.

Everything about this hire was incredible. Preparation videos and handover were brilliant and we knew most of what to do and expect. Martin and Caz were lovely and welcoming (thank you for the little extras in the fridge). The van itself is the best, drives so smoothly (had no problem with the Cornish hills) and the king size bed needs a special mention because it’s huge and comfy. My 8 year old son was very happy in the pop top, comfortable and so much space. Everything that came with the van was in brilliant condition. All we needed to pack was clothes, toiletries and food. Would not hesitate to recommend and we will be back! May 2026

The whole van rental process from Martin was excellent. The van is extremely well equipped and comfortable. The handover at the start was quick and easy and Martin and Caroline were very helpful and just a pleasure to deal with. Similarly, the handover at the end was very easy and Martin. Martin has videos on youtube which make setting up things like the pop-top and the awning very easy. Highly recommended! May 2026

This was our first trip in a camper with our toddler, and it was perfect. The van has everything you need and was extremely well organised. Having the fold-down seats in the back meant that we could safely put a baby car seat in the back (by attaching with the seatbealts) whilst we were driving. Having the tent / awning created loads of helpful space. Martin was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Really helpful and responsive. Thanks Martin! July 2025

Thank you Martin for providing such a great all-round experience, especially as it was our first time using a camper as a family of 5. The campervan was clean, spacious and very practical with lots of added extras that really made a difference. We really appreciated the videos you sent before we set off, explaining how the camper works (which was also a great reference point later on). You were also great at communicating which was especially reassuring during the booking phase when we had questions. Absolutely fantastic couple of days in this lovely VW. Martin could not have been more helpful, his instruction videos were so clear which was great for complete newbies like us! A few essentials were thoughtfully left in the cool box - milk, orange juice and chocolate biscuits. My husband was very appreciative of the king size bed, it was very comfortable throughout. Fantastic little van. We hired this for a family weekend to use alongside our own motorhome and what a great van it was. Excellent condition. Very clean and tidy with everything we needed for our weekend. Such accommodating owners being very flexible with the collection and return times. Handover was very informative, showing us how to lift the roof and pull the bed which was very useful but also the informative video that we were sent on booking was a huge help and something we referred to during the trip. Both Caroline & Martin are great owners of this superb long wheel base campervan. "Hayes" is a great drive and has all the facilities that you need for a break away. The large king size bed was a huge attraction for us and did not disappoint. Our thanks to Martin & Caroline for making our first experience of hiring a campervan so easy, 5 stars guys.
