my wife and I are increasingly taking a break from the daily grind. One time with the camper, the other time with the old-timer friends (at a hotel). Forests and mountains will appeal to us more than lazing on the beach. The North will also appeal to us more than the South. Although we try to alternate during the big holiday. Rather the silence and nature than the bustle and the city, although we certainly do not refuse a terrace and some shopping. We have both just turned 50 with 2 children studying who, in the meantime, prefer to go on holiday with their friends. For some reason, ferry trips always attract us. We will cross Norway, Denmark, Scotland, Corsica, the tip of the Medoc or even the Rhine by ferry rather than by bridge. Silent Witness, Midsomer Murders, The Bridge, and so many others are our favorite series. We will pass up cycling and mountain biking, but we certainly do not turn down a tourist trip on our (electric) bicycles or a walk, whether or not with Charlie our dog.
