Very helpful owners who gave us (total novices) sound advice and made the hand overs, out and return, very straightforward. The motorhome was well kitted out and the instructions which came as a manual, in verbal form and online were really concise and helpful. We drove from Birmingham to Pitlochry via Richmond in N Yorkshire and Loch Lomond. A really comfortable drive and a great place to use as our stay whilst away. May 2025

I can’t thank Amanda and Mike enough for making our first motorhome experience so positive. From the outset, communication was excellent with guides and videos shared before we collected Valerie, and it was easy to contact them when we were away and needed support in using the amenities. Just before our trip, I had a nightmare with a hire car situation, but Mike was so helpful in sorting things out for us. We travelled to the Isle of Skye which was a bit ambitious for our first trip, but Valerie had everything we needed. Our dog had the best time travelling around, and we appreciated being able to have him in the van with us. Valerie was a very comfortable, well stocked van. There were a few issues with the van. We were told that it was full of water and it was almost empty. We then had to purchase a special container and had to manually fill her. As we were off grid there was no means of emptying waste water when it was full. Though we eventually found a way of doing this manually. Finally, there was a problem with the side door as the catch and lock failed completely. Overall though it was extremely comfortable and clean. If the problems were rectified we would definitely hire again August 2024

We had never been in a moterhome before so didn't really know what to expect. We travelled to Cornwall in Valerie and loved it, very convenient to use and park. We had a great time with Valarie. This was our first time in a Motor home so it was a new adventure for us. We hired Valerie for 4 nights as an introduction to motorhoming. What a great experience. Certainly given us food for thought. She had everything we needed and was easier to drive and manoeuvre than expected. We did need to make sure crockery/cutlery etc was padded down to help with rattles - but that seems fairly standard. It was my 1st experience of using a motorhome and Valerie was a great. She had all the facilities as advertised and drove well. I found the bed a little small and the shower did not get warm, but I believe this was because I took it to a festival with no electrical hook-up. The owners were fantastic to deal with. We hired Valerie a “ much loved” motor home for our 2 week trip around Scottish Highlands. However Valerie did come with a list of faults! These being broken water filler cap thus spilling out the fresh water whilst driving, leaking shower tap in the toilet enough so we had to turn off the water pump after using the taps, and also a starting issue with the engine. It was pot luck if she would start first time. This rarely happened….. a breakdown wait to happen? There was also a wheel trim missing and the motorhome had been not been cleaned particularly well. There was medication on paperwork relating to the previous hirer left in the van. Clearly Valerie didn’t appear as loved at it stated in her advert. This did disappoint us somewhat but it never stopped us enjoying our holiday. May 2022

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Valerie. It was our first time in a motorhome with our 2 daughters. We all had fun and felt very comfortable and warm at night. Great Campervan, surprisingly spacious warm & comfortable. Heating, water and electronics all very simple and straightforward to operate. Suffers from a lack of a microwave/oven but these aren't standard in this type of vehicle and we knew that before we rented. November 2021

Jock is a lovely, compact camper just right for a single person or couple who plan to be out and about. Recommend hiring the drive away awning to give extra space for just sitting out. We encountered some pretty wet, windy and chill weather and were really impressed with the heating that kept us warm inside and the damp outside. November 2021

We had a lovely few days away in Valerie, even in October. Very comfortable and well laid out, with lots of nice little touches and well organised by Amanda and Mike. A few minor niggles like the waste water indicator playing up (occasionally showing full after it was emptied) but overall very good. Maggie the Border Collie wasn't a big fan but got more used to it after a while. Would definitely book again! October 2021

Fantastic, prompt service from start to finish, throughout the process from booking right through to returning the camper. Absolutely loved the whole experience, it has encouraged us to look at buying our own(sadly means we probably won’t need to use jock again)! We managed to visit 15 locations in Cornwall, in less than 5 days, by using a camper instead of being restricted to one area in accommodation. Including parking up on the beach for the night and waking up to the most beautiful setting. The vehicle was immaculate inside & out and was lovely to drive.
