The Green Machine – Lomond Overland

Fulfill your sense of adventure touring Scotland in a classic Land Rover Defender with Lomond Overland.

Eye catching, fun to drive and perfect for photographs with Scotland's stunning scenery. You will receive full instruction on vehicle handling and tent assembly(which takes less than 5 minutes). The Landy is very comfortable and easy to drive. It is ideal for tackling some of the more winding single track roads around Scotland where a full size motorhome may struggle.

Starting at a good location for exploring Loch Lomond or venturing to the Highlands and west coast/islands and handy for Airport and train links. On street parking available for your own vehicle. The pickup area has several points of interest such as castle, foreshore walks and is 2 miles away from the notorious "dog suicide bridge" featured on Discovery channel. Also an ideal location for some local hill walks before venturing further afield.

There are many different routes available to explore around Loch Lomond and the west coast all the way up to the highlands and islands. Perfect if you wish to do some hill walking and stop overs in the beautiful villages around the lochs.

Comes with all the basic things you need to Overland designed to keep costs down to maximise your adventure. In addition to portable double hob gas stove a collapsible barbecue/fire is provided to allow you to have open fires on those clear sunny evenings or cooler nights with camp table and chairs and cookware and cutlery also included.

The roof tent is a double size and very comfortable with a mattress already included.
The vehicle has recently had some upgrades to make it more practical for modern travellers with a new Stereo system to allow blue tooth connection and mirroring(depends on model of phone) a 2000W inverter for keeping all electronics such as tablets, phones and cameras fully charged while on the go and for using hair straighteners, travel hair dryer etc for the more glamourous adventurer!

Additional storage has also been installed in the vehicle rear tub to store all equipment leaving plenty of space for your own equipment and luggage if required.

I am able to provide guidance on the local area and some activities that may be available. Such as clay target shooting(this is an activity I can provide)and local tourist spots already mentioned

1 gas bottle per hob a day is included in price. Others charged at £2.50 a bottle with empty containers to be retained.

Sleeping bag and pillow can be supplied at £5 per person to cover cleaning.
