Fulfill your sense of adventure touring Scotland in a classic Land Rover Defender with Lomond Overland.

Eye catching, fun to drive and perfect for photographs with Scotland's stunning scenery. You will receive full instruction on vehicle handling and tent assembly(which takes less than 5 minutes). The Landy is very comfortable and easy to drive. It is ideal for tackling some of the more winding single track roads around Scotland where a full size motorhome may struggle.

We had an amazing trip in the landy! The car itself is a super fun drive and takes on the road like it’s nothing. The roof tent was super easy to set up, and was plenty of space for two people. Dave is a super host and gave really good recommendations. Whenever we had a question, he was super fast to answer and you could really tell that he wanted us to have the best trip possible. If you have the slightest wish to drive around Scotland in an old defender, we totally recommend using Dave’s! July 2025

This Defender has character and stays more true to the original vehicle. It offers a more private, independent camping experience compared to typical rentals but should obviously not be compared with a full motor home. At first glance, the camper might seem sparsely equipped compared to other more luxuriously converted Defender campers. However, if you're coming from a hiking or backpacking background, it feels quite luxurious. The roof tent is an absolute dream – you can be ready to sleep in a proper bed in literally 2 minutes. Perfect for Scottish Adventures This seems to be an ideal vehicle if you want to independently explore Scotland and take in the best landscapes and hikes in a more fast-paced style than you'd experience by e.g. walking something like the West Highland Way. The ability to fit up to 5 people while driving also seems quite uncommon for Defender campers, which is a real bonus. We unfortunately experienced a breakdown at 9pm on a Saturday night, 200 miles away from Glasgow. However, Dave was easily reachable and handled everything incredibly smoothly. He ensured my friends got back to Glasgow in time to catch their Sunday morning flight. Dave's communication was excellent throughout, and despite the mechanical hiccup, it was a really nice and smooth experience overall. The service and responsiveness, especially during our emergency situation, really stood out. May 2025
