If the vehicle is returned more than 60 minutes after the agreed-upon return time, a late fee of £60 will be charged. An additional £60 will be charged for each subsequent hour that the vehicle is late.
In addition, the hirer agrees not to:
take the vehicle outside the United Kingdom;
break road traffic laws;
use the wrong fuel (diesel only);
leave the vehicle unlocked/windows or doors open, or a spare key inside the vehicle whilst away from the vehicle;
fit your own equipment to the outside of the vehicle;
overload the vehicle (as determined by the vehicle manufacturer);
sell, rent, remove, or dispose of the vehicle and/or any equipment or, allow anyone else to do so;
push or tow any trailer or any other vehicle;
give anyone any rights over the vehicle;
work on the vehicle or let anyone else work on the vehicle without our prior written agreement;
use the vehicle for hire or reward or, for fair paying;
use the vehicle off-road, on a race track, for racing, pace making, testing whether for reliability or speed, or for teaching someone to drive, or in connection with motor rallies, competitions, demonstrations or trials;
damage the roof of the vehicle by hitting high level objects;
smoke or allow anyone else to smoke in the vehicle;
have animals or pets inside the vehicle, whether they are visitors or part of the hirer agreement;
cook or use naked flames inside the vehicle or close to any part of the vehicle;
not to stand or crawl on the bonnet or any part of the roof of the vehicle;
use a jet wash or automatic rotary brushes for cleaning the vehicle;

We loved our few days with Thumper! Really recommend.
Julia was always quick, friendly and helpful with her replies to any questions. Caitlin and David were super friendly and gave a comprehensive handover of Thumper, explaining everything and giving tips/recommendations.
Thumper was very comfy, lots and lots provided including pillows and a double sleeping bag, all cookware/cutlery/utensils/plates/mugs, tea/coffee/sugar, stove and gas, table and camping chairs. You just need to bring towels and any extra food/snacks you want!
Handback also very smooth and easy.

Very swift and easy handover, and Thumper was a dream to take around on our Highland and Island trip! Vehicle was nicely fitted out with everything we needed and having a 4x4 really made us blend into the magnificent scenery!

Thank you to Julia and family for a great hire. Their communication was fantastic from the start of the booking until the end with all the support needed and given throughout the trip. The trip with the land rover was amazing, they have thought of everything that we need for a trip and provided it, the land rover is in great condition and they make sure you are comfortable before setting off. Just wow! If you love defenders and the outdoors this is the vehicle for you.
The defender has been lovingly converted into very functional campervan. We loved that it is self contained and when the weather turned we had a warm cosy space to crawl into.
A big bonus is that all the extras are included- chairs, bedding, stove, cookware, tea/coffee/oil etc.
You can tell that Julia and her family are passionate about their vehicles and I am very grateful that they are willing to share them.
We had no problems negotiating the west highland way and the defender felt very much in its natural habitat.
It goes without saying that we would rent this vehicle again in a heartbeat.

We picked up the land rover from Julia’s family and they walked us through everything we needed to know about the Land Rover, so we felt very safe and excited for our trip.
We drove up the north west of Scotland, and the land rover stood us in great stead for the windy roads and the rain that came later. It’s a really special wee van and we absolutely loved our week in it - perfect if you’re wanting a car with bags of character and a safe and reliable drive. Would absolutely recommend Julia and her family to hire from if you’re wanting to explore Scotland in a cosy camper. It’s small enough to navigate the roads but big enough for a comfortable sleep for two! 🌞
