Jean is our Ford Transit Custom LWB Campervan converted to a cosy camper for off grid camping all that’s required is some fuel and a full fridge and you can enjoy the highlands without having to go back to civilisation for a while!
Featuring a solar panel powering a leisure battery and 240v inverter and a 240v EHU jean will suit on or off grid camping trips. It also has a diesel heater that easily gets fuel from the main tank so trips don’t need to be confined to the summer months!
Jean is set up comfortably for Two adults but if you’re really struggling with a small kid could fit across the front seats.
A fully equipped kitchen comes with a double burner gas hob, kitchen sink and a 50 litre fridge with a freezer compartment and 8 kilowatt space heater all ran off the leisure battery or electric hook up. You can enjoy meals or work space at the fold out table inside or out.
The van itself features air conditioning for Summer months and heated windscreen and mirrors for Winter months. Other specifications include cruise control, auto lights, auto wipers, Bluetooth, music streaming, DAB digital radio, front and rear parking sensors.
We provide cutlery and crockery for four people as well as a kettle, frying pan, camping mugs, 2 x camping chairs, foldable camping table, cooking utensils, bottle opener, can opener, dishcloth, dustpan & brush, fire extinguisher, First Aid kit, general-purpose cleaner, electric hook-up cable, scissors, torch and washing-up liquid. Bedding can be provided at an additional cost of £20 per hire. There are black out curtains in the rear and silver window covers for the windscreen and front windows which provide full privacy and retain warmth.
Please enquire about pets. A charge of £30 for dogs applies and we ask dogs are not allowed up on seats/bed.
We are based in the outskirts of Edinburgh in a convenient location just 4.8 miles from Edinburgh Airport or a short train or bus ride from Edinburgh City Centre (Waverly Train Station) airport/train station pick up may be possible at additional cost. There is also free on street parking if you wish to leave a car but please note we accept no liability for vehicles left on the public road.
