We're situated exactly 3 miles from Inverness Airport and if you're flying up, I'm usually able to pick you up and drop you off at the airport. Flight times may not sync perfectly with standard pick-up and drop off times though as long as there is prior agreement, some flexibility should be possible to avoid long waits at the airport. No charge will be made for lifts to and from the airport. (Inverness train station is fine too)
Note that bedding is also included at no extra charge - more details below.
Our VW T4 Caravelle Campervan has 2.5 litre inter-cooled 5 cylinder engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox. It was professionally converted by a company called Murvi when bought new though whilst much of this conversion remains, it's been fully insulated, re-trimmed and has had various upgrades internally.
It has (cold) filtered running water, sink, a 50L 12v fridge (note that the previous unit appears in some photos), 4x gas burners & grill, dimmable led lighting and all the necessary cookware that 2x people would need for a trip away.
Bed linen, duvet (7.5 or 10.5 depending on season), an extra blanket and 2x towels are included with no extra charge. A mattress topper is provided to ensure a very comfortable nights sleep on the rock and roll bed.
There is mains hook-up capability when on a campsite which which provides 240v power to 2x conventional 3 pin sockets. Hooking-up also allows for additional charging of the leisure battery, though this is usually not necessary.
Otherwise, the leisure battery provides 12v power to 2x USB sockets, LED lighting, the fridge and also a Fusion stereo with speakers in the rear tailgate, which provides better sound than one would expect from a 50w amp. This has Bluetooth capability though also has an audio input.
There is a Propex gas heater for chilly nights and 2x roof vents for warm nights, though please note the van is not fitted with air-con.
Good quality "black-out" curtains are installed and a full set of thermo mats for the front windows are provided also.
The van comes with roofbars and a lockable roof-box (steps provided), to accommodate things like the 240v hook up cable(s), a fold-up table and 2x chairs, though it's also large enough that some smaller bags can be stored in it too, increasing available space in the van.
In addition to the stereo in the rear, the main audio system has been significantly upgraded with a Blaupunkt headunit, subwoofer, 400w amp and JL Audio door speakers. Connection is via Bluetooth or an Aux input. A Blukar phone cradle is provided also.
Conventional safety items are provided: carbon monoxide detector, fire-extinguisher, fire blanket & first aid kit.
Whilst the van is in good condition for its age, please appreciate that (as stated above), much of the original conversion is still present and it does have its imperfections. This also applies to some areas of the external paintwork. Any queries re these aspects, feel free to ask.
Full induction provided and please understand that this induction is not optional.
May 2025 - new pictures will soon be added to reflect some of the 2025 some upgrades re paintwork, 12v electrical system & relocation of spare-wheel to underneath the van.
Please get in touch if you're interested or have any questions.
