You will need to arrange your own insurance. UK license holders go to Dayinsure.com to get a quote using the registration number L989 KJX. Prices vary from £15-£25/day. Non-UK license holders will need to call JustKampers insurance - drop me a message if you need more information. NOTE you don’t need breakdown cover that is already included.
THE VAN
The cab features a captains seat with foldable armrests and a double passenger seat - 3 seatbelt positions in the front (note - there are no rear seatbelts). I’d recommend two people for this van, though I have had couples with a child staying... Bluetooth radio and phone holder in the front.
The living area has a fixed roof with wood panelling. There is a double gas stove and a cold water sink. A built in leisure battery provides you with lighting, heating and charging for mobile devices and a 12v socket for the powered cool box. If you want mains power for longer stays electrical hookup is available via an external cable to connect to campsite power supplies (make sure you book a camping pitch with hookup if you want this).
The van is fitted with a diesel powered air heater. It's pretty warm in the summer but for winter or cold nights this will keep you warm!
The front passenger seat can fold down flat or swivel around to create more seating in the living area, and there is a removable dining table which fits in the centre of the living space. Optional wooden legs can be added to the central table for picnics outside. Cutlery and crockery, pans, a kettle and a stove-top espresso kettle are provided.
The rock and roll bed converts from rear seating into a double bed. Blankets are provided. You can bring your own bedding, or bedding can be hired - undersheet, top sheet, two sleeping bags, pillows with cases (additional laundry fee of £15)
A bike rack is available which holds up to 4 bikes on the rear of the van - please request this at the time of booking as the default set up is without the rack (additional setup fee of £15 applies).
LOCATION
Pick up in Penrith, North Lakes (CA11). If you'd like an earlier pick up or later drop off let me know - for longer stays this can usually be accomodated depending on bookings either side of yours. For one night bookings there may be an extra fee for early collection / late drop off.
