Retro 90s VW T4 camper, with heating, cosy wood panelling, red and black leather seating, and a carpeted living area. Sleeps 2. A fun compact van - small enough to park in regular car parks and drive on narrow roads, and nice and warm at night.

Pick up / drop off time : guideline is 2pm collection and 11am return but some flexibility either way is usually fine. If you would like to pick up in the morning and/or drop off in the afternoon this is subject to availability and may incur additional fees on short bookings - please discuss when booking.
Interior - Please return the van in the condition you hired it. A cleaning fee of £15 will be deducted from the deposit if the van is left in an unclean state.
Bedding - You can add bedding to the booking for an additonal £15 laundry fee - 2 sleeping bags, an under sheet, an over sheet and two pillows with cases. (I have to launder these at the Laundrette hence the extra costs!)
Pets - A cleaning fee of £15 will be applied where your pet joins you to cover an extra level of cleaning for the next customer.
Festivals - UK festival hires are fine, but you'll need to provide your own bedding for these trips. Drop me a message if you’re planning a festival trip.
Bike Rack - a rack which holds 4 bikes can be added to the van. Please arrange before booking. A set up / take down fee of £15 will be applied to the booking.
Fuel - Please return the van with the same level of Diesel as when you collected it. A charge of £2/litre will be deducted from the deposit for underfuelling. The pick up location has a petrol station within 5 minutes.
Breakages - If anything inside the van is damaged during your stay, just let me know when it happens. Anything which needs replacing may be charged at cost from the deposit.
Insurance - You need to arrange your own cover for the van at dayinsure.com. (reg L989 KJX). If they can't cover you drop me a message.
Breakdown cover - is included in the rental. You are covered in both directions if you have a pre booked campsite (i.e. they will take you to your booked campsite if you break down on the way there, and collect you and bring you back at the end of your stay)

Matthew was a pleasure to deal with, helpful and accommodating and Kasper was a super comfy van. We had everything we need for a self sufficient holiday in Northumberland and stayed cosy in the van on the rainy nights.

Matt was an incredible from the time of booking, all the information/manuals were sent out in advance and was also printed so could easily access whilst out on the road if you were ever unsure.

This was a great trip :) Matthew was very accommodating and flexible with the handover and the return. Really helpful explanations of the facilities and features, and also has really useful videos online.
It's a beautifully kept VW T4, really nice looking and comfortable (great bed!). Loved the driving experience, and all in really good order. Adequately equipped with pots, dishes, cutlery and utensils.
This was a weekend trip to Wigtown Book Festival - staying in the van made for a great weekend.

Lovely camper van, well kept, everything you need in it, and more. Cosy and comfy and two of us and two dogs fitted in perfectly. Matt gave excellent instructions and covered all bases. Had a great couple of days in the Lakes area. Thank you Matt for making it such a pleasure.

We had a fantastic two night stay in the campervan. Matt was an informative and responsive host and made it easy for pick up and drop off. The van itself was extremely clean and well thought out. There was everything needed for cooking (plates, bowls etc) and the gas two burner was easy to use. We were particularly impressed with the electrics and the leisure battery as we were able to charge our phones, use the fridge, have lights on to read on an evening and still have hours left on the battery. The rock and roll bed is so comfortable and inside the van is cosy and warm on an evening.
I can’t wait for the opportunity to book the van again in the future and I would do so without looking at any others because I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Matt is a great host and has a lovely campervan Kasper. Gives a great retro feel, with some handy modern gadgets eg blue tooth. We recently hired Matthew's campervan and it was a very pleasant experience. The provided guide and videos were extremely useful, making the process smooth and easy. The van itself was a dream—spotlessly clean and tidy, with great accessories and a lovely space to use. We would definitely rent from Matthew again. Highly recommended!
