LWB – 4-5 berth Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2013

The idea of creating this van was so that we could fit our family of 5 in a camper van with enough space to all be away in it and have space to co-exist whilst being robust and practical. The back bed is constantly up and allows the kids to separate if they need space. The front bed allows for the kids to go to bed and the adults still be able to sit up in the living area and enjoy an evening together. The garage also is a great space for secure storage of bikes and outdoor equipment. The kitchen can be accessed when all the beds are up and the step that pulls out to access to the front bed allows for extra kitchen space and cuts off the kitchen area when cooking. The bathroom with shower and toilet means that if you go out on a full day of adventure you can all shower if you are camping off grid.

We have had many weekends away in this van and often enjoyed free camping in Scotland under their Dark Skys Park scheme.

The bed system for the front bed which is stored on the rear bed when it is not up needs a person who is practically minded to be able to put it up. It is a simple process but needs someone who can handle to bed frames and carefully remove them from the back bed and insert into the rail that pulls out and secures in place.

You will need to bring your own bed linen and towels.

Please note that this vehicle is not ULEZ compliant so if you drive through a clean air zone you will need to pay the charge.
