Please empty rubbish and leave the motorhome as clean and tidy as you were given it, with pots and pans etc washed up. For a £50 fee you can leave the clean to us.
European Hire - £15.00 per day
Our motorhome is allowed to travel through most European countries. There are extra costs incurred if you take our Motorhome abroad due to the added breakdown cover and insurance charges. £15.00 per day of the total hire. The additional charges cover: - Additional Insurance - Additional Breakdown Cover - European Travel Kit - Mileage - A Vehicle on Hire Certificate (VE103B). This provides proof that you have our permission to take our motorhome abroad.
You are able to pick up your motorhome between 1000 and 1430. The motorhome must be returned by 1430 on your return date. The is a £100 per hour charge if the motorhome is not back on time, we are very strict with this.
Standard insurance (included) applicable to drivers between the ages of 25-75.
All drivers must have held a valid license for more than 3 years that entitles them to drive a UK category B vehicle up to 3500kg GVW. Non UK drivers must present an international driving permit, alongside there standard license. This must be issued in the country of your standard license and confirm that you are able to drive a UK Category B vehicle of up to 3500kg.
Certain vehicles on our fleet may require a C1 licence, you will be automatically entitled to drive these if you passed your test prior to Jan 1997 and are under 70 years old.
We are able to accept drivers with up to 2 motoring convictions (no more than 3 points for each conviction) in last 5 years under our standard insurance. We may still be able to insure you outside of these parameters but we will need to refer this to our insurers – This will need to be declared at time of booking, charges may apply, cover is not guaranteed.
We are able to accept drivers with up to 1 previous insurance claim within the last 5 years under our standard insurance. If you have more than this then we will have to refer this to our insurers – This will need to be declared at the time of booking, charges may apply, cover is not guaranteed
We can accept licenses from the following countries:
UK, EU, America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand
All drivers must be present at checkout of the motorhome
Identification:
Full, valid photocard driving license must be presented & registered to your current home address
If you have an old paper licence or are travelling from abroad then a valid passport must also be presented
You must be able to provide 2 proofs of address from the following list: 1 x Primary & 1 x Secondary or 2 x Primary.
Primary proof of address: Utility Bill, Broadband/Landline, Council Tax, TV Licence, Bank Statement, Credit card statement, Mortgage statement, Polling card, HMRC Self-Assessment / Tax Credit
Secondary proof of address: Student Loan, Shotgun licence, Payslip, Mobile phone bill, Pension Letter, Car finance statement, Loan Statement, Property deed
All documents must be dated within 90 days of the hire start date. The only exception to this is an annual council tax bill which we are able to accept. This information will be collected 4 weeks prior to your hire to avoid any issues on the day of collection.
Should any driver fail to present the correct documentation and identification on collection of the motorhome then we will not be able to release the motorhome
The vehicle is insured for damage to the vehicle and the property of a third party.
Our insurance does not cover personal insurance for the driver or passengers (Including death or bodily injury)
Our standard excess is £1000 per claim (and not per hire) – this will increase for drivers who fall outside of our ‘standard’ insurance criteria.
In the event of an accident (regardless of fault), the hirer shall be liable to pay the full £1000 in respect of each and every claim. Once the claim is settled, if it is deemed to be non-fault then the excess shall become repayable in full.
Please note that misfuelling, accidental lockout, tyres & internal damage are not covered under our insurance. The named hirer shall be responsible for any damage caused. Our windscreen excess is £500.00.
Should the fixings and fittings of the motorhome be damaged the insurance and any Insurance Excess cover will not cover this and you will be fully liable for replacement or repair, for example, but not limited to items including, cycle rack, cupboards, cupboard doors, TV, Ladders, seats, mattresses, windows, including lever locks, window blinds, window and door fly screens, toilet tanks, locker doors, taps and all internal fittings.
