Buddy – Volkswagen Campervan 2/4 berth Perfect for Adventure Hols!

Me, my friend and my dog had a fantastic weekend away in wales with Buddy the Camper! The whole experience was smooth and easy, and April was brilliant from start to finish. I would 100% recommend April and Buddy the camper, we will be booking to do the same again. Buddy was wonderful to drive, comfy and included everything we needed. Thank you again! this was our first experience in a campervan and we loved it. 2 adults, 2 kids (8 and 5) and a dog - not an excessive amount of room but enough for us. Trip went well and we are now looking at exploring further in the summer! April was great - really helpful and made sure we had what we needed as CV virgins. Great trip. Really comfortable, reliable van and easy to navigate the country lanes of the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District. Used the pop up bed as the weather was so good and April had kindly provided 2 super comfy memory foam mattresses. Smooth and thorough handover and April was very warm and friendly. Helpful user manual to refer to if necessary. She even gave me a brand new crockery set to use and filled up the water tank before we left. Would highly recommend. May 2025

This was an emergency booking as my normal Motorhome decided to call it a day, at the last minute. April is a star, perfect handover and very helpful. Only a short journey and a short stay, but Buddy was faultless, ( and very economical). Inside was spotless of course, and good nights sleep. This was a change for me from a large motorhome to a camper van, but it all worked so well, hope to do it again. Big thanks to April and her fleet of character campers. Lovely gubbly. . April 2025

I travelled up to Aprils and was met with a warm welcome and genuine interest in where I would be heading. The handover was very straight forward and done with much ease. The handover took just under 10mins and all the checks over the camper were done together and in agreement. April showed me how the camper operated, from how it drives to how to fold down the bed and everything in between. I was heading up to the Isle of Skye with a few stop offs in between so there was plenty of miles to driven. The camper was an absolute treat. As a first time driver of camper vans I was concerned about how the van would drive, especially in the highland mountains, but this camper was so easy to drive and very smooth. When not driving, the camper was a perfect place to rest, very modern inside and very comfortable. I did not experience any issues mechanically or with the camper as a place to rest/sleep/stay. Having a working stove, sink and refrigerator was a dream for me as I was travelling for a long distances in the camper with plenty of overnight stops. On my return April was very accommodating even though I turned up later than stated (eeek!) and the handover on my return was as smooth as the handover at the beginning of the journey. I would highly recommend the hiring of this camper for anyone looking for high quality and high comfort when on their travels. August 2024
