Claude is a professionally converted Transit Custom owned by us for 2 years. We have fell in love with life on the open road especially enjoying the freedom this van provides. Whether an over night stop over, wild camping in the Scottish Highlands or touring around Europe this van has enabled us to make unforgettable memories. We would like to share it with others who have a similar quest for adventure.
We have taken our bikes on the bike rack, and popped the paddle board in the boot for extra fun along the way. The van, we named him Claude as he especially loves the French way of life, allows us to travel in comfort and is very versatile and easy to set up camp or park in a city center.
Claude has everything you need for where you happen to end up. Either on a campsite with electric hook up, or off grid under the stars, Claude provides a comfortable journey and a cosy nights sleep. Self Drive Hire Insurance included subject to age restrictions and checks.
When hiring Claude, you fill find in the van;
- Air conditioned cab with two captains seats with three point seat belts (the passenger seat has a swivel to turn whilst stationary)
- 2 rear seats with 3 point seat belts and 2 isofix points.
- Sliding doors to the left side for open views and privacy glass windows to the rear and sides.
- Fully insulated & black out curtains.
- Front and side suction cup blinds.
- Under bed storage and rear boot space.
- Double gas burner hob.
- Kettle, small saucepan and small frying pan.
- Cookware.
- Tea/coffee/sugar.

- Camping mains extension lead for hooking up to a campsite electric pitch.
While driving, the van charges the leisure battery for camping off-grid; and the solar panel tops it up. As mentioned above there is also a camping mains extension lead for those camping on a site with electric hook up.
