Milkyway – Off Grid Van essentials included

Milkyway is a VW T5 2.5tdi, with 5 seats and 6 gears.

Let your self be taken out by this minimalistic camper van Milkyway, it has all the essentials to make an adventure comfortable and exciting.
We have travelled Europe for 3 months with a toddler and it is equipped with everything there is to enjoy.

The van inside has a 3 seats in the front and 2 seats in the back. The back bench can be easily folded down to a bed with reclining back rest. There is storage under the seats, in the cabinets, and in the boot as well as a small fridge with a freezer. This is a custom build to provide as much storage possible in the compact space. The rooftop roof can be pushed up to provide head room for standing.

When it comes to eating and cooking, there is a small table placed within the sliding door and a portable gas hob. We don't recommend to cook inside, but if needed windows must be opened for airing.

There are sockets in the boot and the sliding door. A portable 18 L water tank provides fresh water for drinking and washing.

The awning extends the living room into nature even on a rainy day.

The day comes to the end and you will find that the Milkyway is transformer. This compact van can sleep upto 4 people. The back seats flip to a bed by pulling leaver on the side. This bed provides more comfort then the usual Rock-n-Roll bed, as the backside of the seat is facing up in bed position, it greats a flat even surface like a mattress. For further sleeping needs the roof can be opened up for another small double bed. Upstairs you find a tent like environment as the wall is canvas which has 2 side and one front window. The mattress is thinner but still ok to sleep for adults and best for children. Kevin is 188cm tall and still can sleep upstairs. A lee cloth can be put up to provide further safety if required for smaller children. All windows having a black, and an external windscreen blackout cover.

Milkyway has a 1000Ah battery which can keep the fridge running for 2 days without recharging. There are sockets to charge up phones and other electrical devices. But is limited to 600 watts in total on the circuit. Milkyway can be hooked up to 240V main via a 20m cable. On hook up the sockets can be used like at home. The battery can easily be recharged when on hook up.

The great thing about Milkyway is that it has a practical size it is not much longer than a regular car with 3m and is below 2m height to get you onto supermarket car parks. Drives super easy and has a powerful engine to get uphill with ease. There is a car play installed to share smart phone navigation and listen to music via Bluetooth.
