Gillian Vanderson is a small but mighty campervan with permanent conversion. Uniquely provisioned with 2 sliding doors, she has been lovingly hand crafted by the team at Wander Women Campers and comes equipped with a sink, submersible pump tap, small fridge, and wireless charging point for mobile phones. She has a sliding cupboard to pop a camping stove on for outdoor cooking when it's not raining. Basic cooking, eating and drinking is catered for: a kettle, frying pan, 2 pots with lids, bowls, cups and plates, glasses and cutlery for 2, salt, pepper and vegetable oil are all provided. Additional items can be added if needed.
For camping winter and summer, she has a fan and a 2kw diesel heater. She has also retained some D rings from the base van for you to secure your four-legged camping buddies.
The bed slides out to extend sleeping space, and there is storage underneath.
Gillian is very comfortable to drive, with cruise control and speed limiter in place, as well as hill-assist braking. The stereo is equipped with bluetooth and there is a built-in satnav. There is also a cradle for a mobile phone if you prefer to use your own navigation system.
Gillian has a large (280ah battery) that is charged by a large capacity DC-DC charger while driving only - no solar. This is adequate to run the lights, fridge, diesel heater, fan and charge mobiles and laptops from the inverter, for several days.
There are Rhino roof bars which can hold a TentBox, Roofbunk or other rooftop tents, and we have one (TentBox Cargo 2.0) available for additional hire if required. Optional extras also include an Arpenaz Base Camp tent to be used as an awning, camping chairs, table, folding kitchen, a roof box for additional storage, privacy tent, chemical toilet, 12v Campingaz coolbox.
