Our beautiful Pössl Vario 545 bus camper (nickname Vario Smurf) is a real space miracle. It is extra luxurious and equipped with all conveniences. No hassle with folding out or converting beds: the four fixed beds are always ready. No quaint portapotti, but a real bathroom. And the countless cozy lights throughout the camper make it complete. In addition, solar panels, navigation, tow bar, 2 reversing cameras and the largest bed you will find in a bus camper.
At 5.45 meters it is very maneuverable and can take you to places where those big wide campers can't go, like rustic towns in France or narrow roads in England. It has room for 4 people to sit safely with 3-point belts and 4 people to sleep. The green 'Umweltplakette' ensures that you can drive into all cities in Germany.
The car has a smooth 150 hp engine and is equipped with air conditioning, navigation, Bluetooth, electric windows, airbags and 6 gears. The reversing camera allows you to safely reverse without damage. The reversing camera switches on automatically when you put it in reverse. Very handy for a camper. In addition, there is a second camera that you can turn on while driving and with which you can immediately look at the road behind you, a digital rear-view mirror, so to speak. This way you know what is driving behind you.
The front seats can be turned towards the table, creating a cosy seating area where four people can sit. There is a large roof hatch above the seating area. All 4 windows and the 2 roof hatches are equipped with a fly screen and blackout blinds that are easy to operate. No hassle with curtains. Not even in the cabin: you can simply close the pleated blackout blinds on the windscreen and side windows in 3 seconds.
The sleeping area is divided into two parts. In the front is a mega large lifting bed above the seating area of 1.7 m wide and 2.1 m long. Unprecedentedly large in such a small camper van. When the bed is folded down, the seating area underneath can still be used. In the back is the sleeping area for the children, which can be closed off from the rest by means of 2 doors. The lower bed is large enough for an adult and measures 1.94 m long and 0.74 m wide. The upper bed is a children's bed of 1.67 m long and 0.67 m wide. The safety net ensures that a child cannot fall out.
The bathroom is located between the rear sleeping area and the kitchen and contains, in addition to a toilet with an 18-litre reservoir, a sink, wardrobe, space for 2 gas bottles and an (emergency) shower.
In the living room and kitchen there are numerous cupboards. In total there are 12 cupboards that together are good for everything you want to take with you on holiday with four people. In addition to a hanging cupboard there are also cupboards with shelves. The most important cupboards are equipped with handy and atmospheric warm yellow automatic LED lighting, so that you do not have to search by touch in the dark. In the back there is a large storage space under the beds. This 'garage' is equipped with LED lighting that automatically switches on when you open the rear doors. You do not have to search by touch here. There is also an atmospheric warm white LED entrance lighting that switches on automatically with the sliding door and thus makes it easier to get in.
Optionally, the two rear beds can also be removed, creating a mega large and very high garage. This makes it possible to take 2 (expensive) bicycles IN the camper (the front wheels have to be removed). It is also possible to take 2 surfboards upright. Endless possibilities, hence the name Vario Smurf.
In the kitchen there is a 90 liter refrigerator with a 10 liter freezer and there is a stove with 3 gas burners. The kitchen tap has hot and cold running water. The combi boiler provides a large supply of hot water of 60 degrees for washing. There is a fresh water tank and a waste water tank, each of which is 80 liters. You can sit under the 3m x 2.5m awning.
The insulation makes this camper suitable for both summer and winter: in summer it stays cool longer and in winter it stays warm longer. The Truma Combi heater-boiler runs on gas and keeps the camper at a good temperature. When booking for 2 weeks or longer, 2 gas bottles of 5 kg are included, of which at least 1 full. Gas is included in the price, you do not pay extra for it. The camper is on 4-season tires that are also suitable for the winter season.
In the summer, this camper is self-sufficient in terms of power in Southern Europe thanks to the 2 solar panels of 200 watts that charge the 2 household batteries. This provides additional opportunities for beautiful spots near cities or free standing in nature. In southern holiday countries, you have enough sun to top up the batteries daily. And otherwise you can of course put it 'on the pole' at 230 volts at the campsite or camper place. For small consumers (up to 250 watts) there is an inverter that supplies 230 volts Pure Sinus while 'free standing'.
Equipment: the camper comes with 4 luxury chairs and a camping table, complete kitchen equipment with pans, plates, bowls, cups and cutlery, two ramps and 20 metres of cable for connection to 230 volts.
The sliding door is equipped with a Pössl softlock system, which pulls the door closed itself. No more irritations with other campers due to the sliding door slamming shut.
The camper is equipped with a rotating TV screen and an automatic (self-aligning) satellite dish. With this you can receive the free Free-to-Air channels. DVDs can also be played on this. The camper is equipped with a safe for valuables and a mini-GPS tracker. The camper is also equipped with a Construct gearbox lock against theft.
You must bring your own bedding such as duvet, duvet cover, pillow and pillowcase. You do not need to bring your own mattress covers, we will provide them clean. The mattresses are provided by us with a comfortable mattress protector and a clean mattress cover.
Using a bicycle carrier (on the tow bar) is only possible in consultation. A carrier for 2 bicycles is available. Unfortunately, we have to charge a double deposit because we now know - from experience - that damaged rear doors cost a multiple of the deposit to repair.
All relevant functions are clearly explained in clear manuals. These are printed in color in the camper and are also sent to the renter as a PDF well before the trip to prepare you in advance. In addition, we are always available by phone to answer questions, even in the evening.
We prefer renters with some camper or bus driving experience.
