Charming Volkswagen T2 camper van from 1974

Your vacation begins the moment you get behind the wheel. You drive peacefully to your destination, seeing happy faces all around you.
At the campsite, you'll be amazed at how much space and clever design was built into the compact van 50 years ago. A kitchen, a bed, storage space—it's all there. Camping as it was meant to be.

The campervan may be 50 years old, but it still handles well in traffic. And because it's an automatic (yes, from 1974, but with an automatic), it's also extra easy to drive. Mechanically, the campervan has been fully restored, including an overhaul of the engine, automatic transmission, and brakes: the last thing you want is to be stranded on the road. The van has driven thousands of kilometers during a summer holiday without any problems: from the mountains of Switzerland, the fjords of Norway, to the forests of Germany. And should that happen, the campervan is also well insured.

The interior still features the historic Westfalia interior. My goal is to keep it original, and during maintenance, I always look for replacement original or similar replica parts. This way, the bus retains its charm.

The bodywork has some blemishes, but it has already been partially restored. If you look closely, you'll see some rust and damage at the front. This gives the bus charm and character. In the coming years, the rental income will be used to renovate this as well, so the bus can last another 50 years.

Practical: the downstairs bench folds out into a bed. It's approximately 1.20 meters wide. Upstairs, with the hood open, a bed of 1.10 meters can be created. This way, the camper can sleep up to four people.
The bus can accommodate 4 to 5 people while driving. The back seat can seat three people, and there are seat belts for two. This is because the bus was built before seat belt legislation.
The bus has a gas stove and a refrigerator. This is the original refrigerator, so don't expect much space, but it will keep groceries cool on a hot summer day.
The bus comes with folding chairs and an outdoor table, a box with cutlery, plates, etc., and a few pots. Please bring your own tea towels and duvet covers.

During peak season (July 6th to September 1st), rentals are by the week only. Outside peak season, rentals are for a minimum of two nights. And if you find the color too dark, I also have a light green T2 from 1976. Simply because such a van is so much fun!
