4p Volkswagen California from 2003

We have been owners of this beautiful 2003 Volkswagen T4 California Freestyle for several years now. The bus drives great and has a '90s retro vibe. Do you like camping, but do you want a little more convenience? Then our camper is ideal for you!

This bus is equipped for two adults (and 2 children). In the summer of 2022 we took a 7-week trip with two adults and two small children. Through France, along the Spanish coast, through the Spanish mountains and the desert. Going to the city is also no problem (note the environmental zones!). Due to the limited height, you can park effortlessly in most modern parking garages (minimum 2.10 m) and you can reach the most beautiful places where you are not allowed to go with a large camper. With the fixed awning you can create shade in no time. Versatile van!

The bus has a strong 2.5 TDI (diesel) engine that will take you to your holiday destination without any problems at 100/110 km per hour. Do you dislike diesel? Then feel free to fill up with HVO100; a synthetic diesel replacement with up to 90% less CO2 emissions! The bus runs relatively economically with a consumption of approximately 1 in 12 to 14. Mountains are no problem at all!

The camper is compact to drive and is spacious enough on the inside. You can sleep on the sofa bed downstairs and on an upper bed under the lifting roof. It is cozy at the top for two agile adults, but it is especially a wonderful bed for 2 children. For older children (from 3 to 4 years old), sleeping in the roof tent is a lot of fun! For safety, there is a fall net in front of the bed, so that your children cannot roll out.

Do you want to travel with a BABY? With a homemade travel cot on the front seats, we have the perfect solution for you. You sleep comfortably on the large bed in the back and your child sleeps on a bed above the front seats, close to you. For children up to 10 kg. Our daughter sleeps wonderfully there. The bed can be rented for a small fee.

The camper is fully furnished. The two front chairs can be rotated so that you can eat with 4 people or play a game at the table. The complete kitchen offers a stove, refrigerator, sink and all necessary eating and cooking utensils. Have you become enthusiastic and do you want to know everything about our camper? - A household battery that can run your refrigerator for at least 2 days, without being connected to electricity. The battery charges while driving and via an extension cable.
- 12V socket (works anytime and anywhere, for example to charge your phone) and 220V socket (only works if the camper is connected to the power cable)

The inventory you receive is fully taken care of:
- Kitchen items (plates, cups, cutlery, pans, perculator, etc.)
- Two chairs with camping table (high chair available on request)
- Fixed retractable awning
- Mosquito screen for the sliding door and sliding window
- Long charging cable (20m) for the battery
- Two ramps (to be able to sleep somewhat horizontally on uneven surfaces)
- Insulation mats for the windows (for cooling during the day and for darkening at night)
- Mattress protectors for the beds + seat covers on car seats and sofa
- Printed manual with all the 'facts' about the camper, for example how to fold up the sofa, use the lifting roof or refill the clean water tank.

Can be rented additionally for a small additional charge:
- Baby cot on the front seats (€2.50 per day with a maximum of €25)
- Bicycle rack for 3 bicycles (€5.00 per day with a maximum of €50.00)
- Bus tent to expand the living space (practically new Obelink Traveler) (€5.00 per day with a maximum of €50.00)
