Coopernicus, 2021 – Comfortable 2p Karmann 600, parking air conditioning, length beds, automatic, biker

On an adventure with the contemporary Karmann Dexter 600. The Coopernicus is already our 3rd camper van. Spending the night elsewhere under the starry sky remains exciting. A comfortable 'own bed' then feels familiar.

We chose this compact camper because of the 'King size' length beds and the comfortable, light and 'spacious' living space. Spacious because this camper does not have a bench for extra people. Comfortable because of the nice seats and 230 V air conditioning. Light because of the large sun roof window. That's why we sometimes jokingly call our camper our 'mobile greenhouse'.

Where most camper vans have an extra seat or bench, there is a nice display cabinet. Ideal for items that you want to have at hand at the table. We also find the large full-length mirror useful. Partly due to the sloping placement, it contributes to the spatial effect.

The kitchen is equipped with a compressor refrigerator, a 2-burner hob, a sink with hot and cold water tap and handy drawers with the necessary inventory.

There is a 12 Volt MaxFann in the roof near the kitchenette. Handy as an extractor, but also for some cooling during sultry nights or when the camper is not connected to 230 Volt.

The lengthwise beds can be folded up, so that you can also access the generous storage space from the inside. The step in combination with the smart access recess makes it easy to go to the toilet quietly at night, without having to climb over each other. The 12 cm thick mattresses are supplied with a protective cover. The 'King size' bed is ideal for making up with your own pillow and duvet cover that you also use on your normal bed.

The storage space contains the weatherproof camping set, consisting of a compactly stored aluminum table and two comfortable camping chairs with adjustable backrest. A chair has an extendable footstool.

Our Karmann Coopernicus is based on a Fiat Ducato Professional with a powerful 160 hp, 2.3 liter Euro 6 power diesel engine. The 9-speed automatic transmission and the high seating position in the comfortable seats make driving very relaxed. The full-fledged infotainment system is equipped with a large screen, reversing camera, DAB radio, built-in camper navigation, Apple carplay and Android auto.

The camper has an electrically operated step, sun awning and bus bike. The bus biker is suitable for 2 (electric) bicycles and can be turned away with bicycles on it, so that the large luggage space under the bed is accessible via the rear doors.

In short, the Karmann Coopernicus is a spacious yet compact camper van, ideal for 2 people. Camper comfort in your own cozy house in the nicest places.
