We (Joost and Britt from Eindhoven) are renting out our lovely, spacious family campervan. Our Bennie—a Benimar Sport 345 with a Ford Transit chassis—is a 2011 campervan equipped with every comfort. Bennie offers freedom and comfort: for us, the ultimate holiday feeling!
We rent Bennie including all the necessary equipment; from a fire bowl to children's cutlery, and from a milk frother to a footstool: everything is included. We'll include a free crate of wood upon request; after all, there's nothing better than building a campfire in front of the campervan in the evening. Before you leave, Joost will explain how the campervan works, so you can travel with peace of mind. Questions? We're always available and happy to help.
This is what you can expect:
- To sit
The campervan has five official seats with seat belts: two in the front, two at the table, and a fifth on the bench behind the passenger (rearward-facing). We're traveling with two young children, both of whom are still in high chairs. The high chairs fit next to each other on the bench by the table.
Found a nice spot? Then we turn the two front chairs around and unfold the table. This way, five people can easily eat inside or play a game. If it's cold, we can turn on the heater, but in good weather, we'll sit outside, of course! The camper is equipped with an awning. In Bennie's spacious garage, you'll find no fewer than seven chairs: five regular ones and two smaller ones perfect for smaller children. Of course, there's a table too. And we have two footstools, so you can put your feet up and read a book or gaze at the stars.
- To sleep
Above the steering wheel, you'll find a spacious double bed in Bennie's alcove. It features a comfortable mattress and a curtain, so you can sleep comfortably. The ladder makes it easy to climb up, and the raised edges of the bed ensure even fidgety sleepers are safe. On the road? We simply place the ladder on top of the bed and fold it up, making Bennie's "living room" a little more spacious.
In the back of the campervan, you'll find the second double bed. It's also very spacious and has curtains, so it can be darkened even around bedtime. Our children (2.5 years old) currently sleep sideways in this bed. We use a click-in system to hang a safety net, so they can sleep safely there too. A fixed ladder to the bed makes it easy to reach.
The seating area can be converted into a third bed, allowing two people to sleep comfortably. Simply lower the table and rearrange the cushions. It's a breeze. The alcove offers ample storage for extra bedding, so it never gets in the way during the day.
- To cook
The kitchen includes a three-burner gas stove and an extra-large refrigerator. There's also a spacious freezer. Pans, plates, cutlery, bowls, glasses, and more: it's all there. Want to bake rolls or make a casserole? Then use our Omnia camping oven. Want to start the day with coffee? Our percolator makes a delicious cup, and thanks to the milk frother, you can even make a cappuccino. After dinner, you can easily wash up with hot water. Of course, we also have a dishwashing bowl and a draining mat. In short, the kitchen in Bennie is fully equipped!
- Toilet & Shower
The bathroom—surprisingly spacious for a campervan—features the toilet, sink, and shower. There's also plenty of storage space here, so you can store your toiletries. A boiler provides hot water, so you can enjoy a lovely warm shower, even if you're not at a campsite.
- To ride
Bennie holds his own in the mountains thanks to the powerful and reliable 2.4 Ford diesel engine with 140 hp and plenty of torque. This campervan has dual rear wheels with "double tires." This improves the handling; the campervan is very stable and handles well even on soft surfaces. The campervan is also equipped with cruise control, which is a real plus on the highway!
- Storage
Bennie has a huge garage under the rear bed, complete with a bike rack. Super convenient, because this way your bikes are safely stored inside, and your campervan isn't any longer. The bike rack in the garage has room for two bikes, but you can easily park one or more alongside. The garage also has several storage boxes for extra luggage.
The living area of the camper also offers plenty of storage space: the kitchen has more than enough cupboard space, above the seating area you'll find cupboards on both sides and in the back, above the bed, there are even more.
- About us
We've been passionate about campervanning for several years now. We've traveled through Norway, Sweden, Slovenia, and Croatia, among other places. Previously, we borrowed a family campervan (a converted Ford van) for this purpose, but since the birth of our twins, we no longer fit in it. After renting campervans for a while—mainly to see if traveling with two young children would still be enjoyable—we started looking for our own. Our Bennie is the result. The campervan is a bit bigger than the van we borrowed before, so our children also have plenty of room. We love sharing our campervan happiness with others: where will you take Bennie?
