Look no further for the ideal family camper with plenty of space and light, allowing you to go off-grid for up to 5 days!
We bought this camper in 2022 from the first owner, for a trip to the southwesternmost point of Portugal of 4 months with our sons, then 1 and 3 years old. We liked it so much that we kept it and every year we go away with it for both the long holidays and weekends. Now we have just bought a new house, so autumn 2024-autumn 2025 will mainly be about renovations, which is why we are renting it out.
It is a semi-integrated based on a Ford Ducato 130i, with a very strong engine, also in the mountains. Perhaps not the romantic retro model camper van that is especially beautiful on the outside. But what we really liked, especially for a longer trip, is that you have and experience a lot of space inside, because the fixed bed is open (in contrast to many other models, where the bed is behind a 'wall'). And you can go off-grid for 5 days (or longer if you are very frugal) thanks to the solar panels and 90l fresh and grey water tank.
The fixed bed is a French model, the width is 140cm, the long length side 210cm and the short length side 170cm.
The lifting bed is lowered above the dining table (dinette), which is 140cm x 200cm. The dinette can be used as an extra bed for a person who is not too heavy.
Crockery and cutlery for 4 people are included as standard. There is an XL refrigerator with freezer and a gas stove with 3 burners. There are 2 built-in LPG gas tanks in the camper that you can fill up with LPG at petrol stations (we have gas nipples for you for almost every European country).
There is a small bathroom with toilet and shower. We only used the shower outside the camper (shower cord reaches far enough), and mainly the shower room as extra storage space. But inside is also fine.
Furthermore, there is plenty of storage space, both in the camper and in the storage room.
There is a rug, a table, 2 chairs and a bench for 2 people for outside.
We can supply flags, lights, bed linen and towels, but you can of course also bring your own.
The camper can be picked up in Winkel, Noord-Holland or Wageningen, in consultation.
We like to share our tips for traveling (with children) in Europe, especially Northern Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg, Germany and Switzerland. And if you still doubt whether such a camper trip is fun with small children, I can honestly tell you the pros and cons 😁.
