I have been enjoying my cozy bus Billie immensely for several months now!
Unfortunately I can't use her every week, so to give other people the pleasure of this freedom and hopefully finance her maintenance and future DIY projects I will rent her out occasionally!
Photos of interior not complete, will be added asap!
Why Billie:
- Can go several days without power, so camping is possible in the most beautiful places! There is a brand new battery that can charge via shore power, but also via a solar panel and while driving.
- Well maintained with +/- 215,000 on the counter
- major service and new tires this year
- lifting roof for standing room in the bus
- front seat can swivel and a table can be added to the kitchen unit, so sitting inside is possible in bad weather!
- well-functioning refrigerator
- indoor and outdoor cooking possible
- comfortable chairs, table, picnic blanket and hammock included if desired
- Bed linen/sheets included, bed is cozy for 2 people (120x180) but sleeps wonderfully
- cooking utensils included (pans, kettle, plates/bowls/cutlery/dishes, tea towels, washing-up liquid, sponge)
- clean and dirty water tank, with an additional water tank if you want to be off grid for a long time
- make coffee with an aeropress and grind the beans yourself if you want
- lighting, candles (incl. anti-mosquito) included
- if you like games like kubb and jeu de boule
- electric heater to be used when connected to shore power for cold weather
- insulation and blackout for all windows included
- enough storage space for stuff and food
- In consultation, things you think you do not need can be left behind for more storage space
- Enjoy driving with cruise control, Bluetooth radio, reverse sensors and fits in a normal parking space!
Billie is a DIY build which means there are a few little tricks you need to know
- detailed instructions will be given upon collection, possibly including videos
- the canvas of the lifting roof is a bit worn in some places, I have not yet had any leakage from it in heavy rain, but of course it can also be closed in bad weather
- the bus is not fully insulated, so in really cold weather it also gets chilly in the bus
- 1 cupboard is not accessible when the bed is folded out and 2 cupboards are not accessible when you use it as a sofa, with some tactical packing this does not cause any problems
I work irregular hours, so no fixed days for pick up or return. Times are also flexible :)
