We are very pleased with our 2009 Sunlight Capron A366 and are now offering it for rent so that others can enjoy it too.
TO SLEEP
The campervan sleeps four, and we use it ourselves. Our children each have their own space in the bunk bed in the back, and we sleep in the alcove. The advantage of this is that the two train seats remain free for seating, so nothing needs to be converted. However, it is possible to convert these seats into two additional sleeping places.
The alcove has a spacious 140x210 cm mattress, and the mattresses in the bunk bed are 70x200 cm wide. A curtain is available in the alcove if desired, and a curtain and safety gate are also available in the bunk bed.
For bookings of 5 days or more, fitted sheets for the fixed beds, bath towels for 4 people, and kitchen towels are included in the rental. You can, of course, also bring your own fitted sheets and towels.
TO RIDE
The camper has six approved seats, all equipped with retractable seat belts. So everyone can choose their favorite spot while driving.
Driving a large vehicle can take some getting used to, but the campervan handles quite easily. You should always be aware of your size and avoid, for example, trying to squeeze into a parking garage. At 6.96 meters long, the campervan is quite long (7.60 meters with the bike rack). The rear wheels are double-ply, which ensures stable handling.
The campervan features a 2.4-liter Ford turbodiesel engine with 140 hp, making it easy to keep up with traffic. It's equipped with cruise control for a relaxed journey, and a cruising speed of around 90 km/h makes for a comfortable drive – after all, when camping, the journey is part of the holiday!
The registered weight of the camper is 2910 kg – not a lot for a camper, but still a considerable weight. The camper is equipped with Light Truck camper tires (2023). For good visibility, the camper is equipped with dual exterior mirrors.
FURNISHINGS
The camper offers a spacious feel thanks to its generous headroom and large roof hatch. There's also a roof hatch above the beds, and all windows and roof hatches are equipped with insect screens and sun blinds. The entrance door has a pleated insect screen, and the cab also has sun blinds.
The campervan has plenty of cupboards and storage space, as well as a garage under the bunk bed. Outside, there's a separate storage compartment for the ramps and the power cord. There's plenty of crockery, cutlery, and kitchenware for four people, including several pans, a toaster, and a kettle. There are also various games and handy accessories for when you're on the road.
For outdoor comfort, there are two tables and four chairs, as well as a large awning. The bathroom includes a chemical toilet for minor needs. Showers are available inside the campervan, but due to limited space and a maximum of 10 liters of hot water, this is more suitable for occasional use. A laundry basket and clothesline are provided in the bathroom.
MISUSE
When traveling in a campervan, it's handy to take bicycles along for extra freedom of movement. A bike rack for two bikes is mounted on the back of the campervan, securely fastened to the body. The bikes are also secured to the rear wall with strong clamps, and a tension strap is used to secure everything securely. A reversible marker board is also included, approved for both Italy and Spain.
ELECTRICITY
A long CEE cable is provided for the electricity supply, along with an additional extension cord if needed. The campervan is equipped with power outlets, and USB connections are available throughout, working directly from the 12V system.
The campervan has an onboard battery that charges when connected to electricity and while driving. The refrigerator (with freezer compartment) operates on 230V, 12V, or gas. The 12V setting only works when the car's engine is running, just like any other campervan. This is intended to maintain cooling while driving.
GAS
Gas is very useful for mobile living. The campervan has a combined gas heater and hot water boiler. The heater distributes hot air through pipes throughout the campervan, making it easy to use even in cold weather. The spacious kitchen features a three-burner stove, and a gas connection with a quick-release coupling is located outside the campervan. Two gas bottles are provided, one full and one opened when rented. The use of one gas bottle is included in the rental price, so the campervan can be returned with one empty bottle. A gas bottle lasts a long time, but if you're on the road for a long time, you might also empty the second bottle. In that case, you'll need to refill it yourself. The gas bottles are the most common models and can be exchanged anywhere in Europe.
SECURITY
Since a campervan is a valuable asset, several safety features are available. In case of theft, the campervan can be located via the GPS tracker.
EXTRAS
The camper is equipped with a roof-mounted air conditioner (220V), allowing you to cool or heat the camper at your destination. There is also an automatic satellite system with TV.
HOUSE RULES
We expect you, as a renter, to treat the campervan with the same care as we do. We take great care of our campervan and do everything we can to keep it in good condition and to improve it where possible. However, it's not new, so it's possible that something isn't working properly. In that case, we'll work with you to find the best possible solution.
The campervan is delivered clean and with a full tank, and we expect it to be returned that way as well. The toilet must be empty and cleaned, and the water tanks (fresh water and wastewater) must be emptied.
Because we expect you to return the campervan clean, we don't charge a standard cleaning fee. However, if additional cleaning is necessary, €50 will be deducted from the deposit. If the fuel tank is not full or both gas bottles are empty, the costs for this will be deducted from the deposit, with a surcharge of €15.
FORMALITIES
The campervan may only be used in countries covered by the insurance (European Union, EFTA countries, and Great Britain). Due to insurance terms, the driver must be at least 25 years old and have held a category B driving license for at least three years. We'd also like to meet you before handing over our precious campervan.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us. You can also come and view the campervan without obligation, provided it's not currently rented out. Rental periods are flexible, but during peak season, we prefer to see the campervan used optimally.
You can park your car with us during your trip. We also offer pickup and delivery services for your campervan, or assistance with arrivals by public transport, for example. We can arrange anything, but we're happy to discuss it with you!
