Off-grid self-built camper van from 2014

With this lovely, self-built campervan (conversion 2024), I've spent the past two years on unique journeys through Europe (including Spain, Slovenia, and Texel). I've seen and experienced a lot. To keep costs down (and to be honest), I rent it out, but I'm also very curious about your experiences with the Witte Doos.

With its short length (5.5m) and unobtrusive appearance, you can always find a spot. Whether it's a deserted spot on a mountain, a busy campsite, or even, if all else fails, a regular parking lot in the city.

At the same time very complete and very suitable for off-grid use (I have never stayed more than 1 night on a campsite myself): solar panels, stove, fresh water supply (47l) and waste water collection, toilet, spacious lighting and even WIFI.

And yet also very comfortable. You'll really appreciate the semi-automatic transmission, especially in the city or in the mountains. The interior is fully insulated, and the heater, roof hatch, and fan ensure a pleasant climate. The fixed transverse bed, measuring 190x90 cm with a good mattress, offers plenty of space. It extends to 180x145 cm in 10 seconds. The space can be closed off on all sides with blackout curtains to protect from sunlight and prying eyes.
