Afgesproken met muziekvrienden om een weekend naar een camping met een haventje te gaan. Het ene stel zijn doorgewinterde campergebruikers en het andere stel hebben een zeiljacht. Dit was een uitgelezen kans voor ons om ook eens een camper te huren waar we al vaker over hadden gefantaseerd. Bij Esther en Chris stond de “Gouwe Ouwe” voor ons klaar. Een pareltje om te zien. De camper is van buiten en van binnen helemaal nieuw en van deze tijd. We hebben een goede uitleg gekregen over de werking van alles en we kregen een duidelijke handleiding mee. En nu starten maar… spannend die eerste km maar al gauw kregen we er plezier in. En dat is het hele weekend zo gebleven. Het was een geweldige ervaring. Jan en Aukje. August 2025

Afgelopen week op pad geweest met de " Gouwe Ouwe" Het was even wennen met het rijden van zo'n Gouwe Ouwe maar dat verliep uiteindelijk heel soepel Rustig van Friesland naar Drenthe gereden. Aangekomen op plek van bestemming heb je alles bij de hand. Deze camper is van alle gemakken voorzien en een goed bed dus wat wil je nog meer. Het contact met Chris en Esther verliep heel goed en reageerden snel op vragen . Goede uitleg gehad van Chris op het gebruik van deze " Gouwe Ouwe" Bedankt voor het gebruik van jullie camper. Wij hebben de camper een aantal dagen mee gehad als 'slaapplek' tijdens een 4 daagse trip als korpsbegeleiders tijdens het WMC in Kerkrade. We hadden hem op het terrein van de kampeerboerderij onder de bomen staan, helemaal prima. Het bed (omgebouwde dinette) is helemaal top qua lengte en breedte. We hebben heerlijk geslapen. Werkelijk alles wat je nodig hebt, is aan boord, overal is aan gedacht. De stoelen voorin zitten fantastisch. Enige minpuntje voor ons was de herrie van de motor maar dat was inherent aan feit dat we niet aan het toeren waren maar van A naar B gingen over de snelweg. Beter neem je de toeristische route, dan minder last hiervan. Brandstofkosten waren dientengevolge ook wat aan de hoge kant door hoog verbruik. Al met al een prima ervaring en Esther en Chris waren super vriendelijk en behulpzaam in de aanloop naar onze trip. August 2022

Van 3 t/m 13 aug. zijn wij op pad geweest met de "Gouwe Ouwe". Van Friesland naar Noord Frankrijk, terug naar Friesland en daarna naar Duitsland, 3000km gereden. Je moet niet verwachten dat je snel van de ene plek naar de andere rijdt, maar dat was ook niet de bedoeling, was tenslotte vakantie. Wat was dit een leuke ervaring, heerlijk gevoel van vrijheid. Aangekomen op plek van bestemming zet je de stoelen buiten en klaar is kees. Alles wat je nodig hebt heb je bij de hand. We hebben maar 2x gebruik gemaakt van stroomvoorziening op een camping. Gestaan op onverwachte mooie plekken. We hadden heel wat bekijks onderweg. Dit was zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Het contact met Chris en Esther was ook heel leuk, reageerden vlot op vragen. Met veel plezier hebben we twee weken gebruik kunnen maken van de Gouwe Ouwe tijdens onze vakantie in Nederland. De camper is mooi opgeknapt en heeft ons altijd van A naar B gebracht. Het rijden gaat iets zwaarder waardoor de camper vooral heel geschikt is voor nationaal gebruik. Ook de eigenaren Esther en Chris zijn erg vriendelijk en staan voor je klaar als je vragen hebt.
