Hi, nice that you are looking at this "old" ambulance!
I bought this beautiful Mercedes van and, along with a few friends, converted it into a campervan. It's fully equipped. It's a great place for two people to go on holiday. Thanks to the spacious kitchen, there's plenty of room to cook inside and even wash dishes in the full-sized sink. There's 20 liters of fresh water. Cooking is done on a two-burner gas stove, and there's always plenty of gas available.
Living space:
The bus is equipped with both air conditioning and heating in the living area, but these only work when the engine is running. Therefore, it's recommended to have the air conditioning or heating turned on while driving. There's also electric heating that runs on 230V. Furthermore, there's a built-in ventilation and exhaust system that always works, even when you're not connected to shore power. There's also an extra-quiet fan that you can turn on at night.
A cool box (30 liters) is available, which can also be used as a freezer if desired. It operates on both 12/24V and 230V.
If you're parked in a location with a power supply, you can easily connect the bus to shore power to save the batteries. The 230V and 12V power sources always work—until the battery is empty, of course.
The bus is equipped with a pull-out bed measuring 140 x 200 cm, which is very easy to convert.
What makes this bus so special is that ambulances have sliding doors on both sides. This creates a pleasant, open, and bright space when all the doors are open.
There are five 230V power outlets in the living area, and two more in the cabin. There are also more than enough USB ports to charge all your devices (but of course, you don't need that, since you're on vacation 😉).
While driving:
Thanks to the powerful 3-liter V6 diesel engine, the bus can easily climb mountains—as long as the road is paved. This bus is not suitable for off-road driving. The engine is Euro 6, so you can enter any low-emission zone. You don't have to worry about AdBlue during your trip; I'll take care of that for you.
While driving, you have cruise control and a great radio system that lets you listen to your own music wirelessly via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Parking is made easy by the 360-degree camera system.
The bus is equipped with air suspension, which ensures smooth ride over bumps. The suspension can be adjusted for height if desired.
Other information:
The camper can be picked up in Almere. Free parking is available nearby.
Through Goboony, you also pay a cleaning fee. This covers the use of gas and bed linens.
