In 2021 I bought this minibus for 9 people. Once the two rear benches are removed, there is still a free space of 2m80 thanks to the LWB (Long Wheelbase). To furnish this space, I made some custom-made furniture myself.
In addition to a double bed (148 x 185 cm), there is also a handy space for side entry or to sit on the edge of the bed and get changed. Part of the bed can be quickly and easily removed from the bus, so that you have a handy table and the large storage space under the bed becomes accessible. Two folding chairs and an awning (you can build it yourself) with extendable poles and storm cords are provided.
A kitchenette with gas stove and water tank (of 20 liters) is located at the back and is only accessible via the trunk. Because the trunk lid swings up, you are always more or less sheltered when cooking, even in rainy weather. A cool box is provided, but it does not yet work optimally (to be discussed).
All the rear windows are blinded with blackout window film, so that there is virtually no view possible. And the film also keeps the sun out on warm days of course.
There is no built-in battery, but there is a handy mobile power station of 537Wh (BLUETTI EB55). In addition to several common USB(C) ports of 5V, there are also regular 220 V sockets so that you can also charge all kinds of devices. Charging the power station itself is best done via the standard 12V cigarette lighter of the car (only while driving) or via a fixed socket, if you are on a campsite, for example.
The interior is all quite basic and minimalistic, but very practical. A big advantage of this model is that you can camp on any pitch or parking lot, without it being visible from the outside that you are "wild camping" ;-)
The following items are always included in the rent:
- comfortable mattress (185 x 148 cm)
- lots of storage space (under bed)
- pantry
- kitchenette with double gas hob, water reservoir, 4 plastic drawers (for cutlery and supplies, but can also serve as a washing-up sink)
- removable picnic table + 2 folding chairs
- power station (537Wh) with various sockets
- awning with poles, storm cords & pegs (+ instructions on how to set up)
It is best to provide the following yourself:
- bedding (blankets + pillows)
- plates and cutlery
- pots and pans
- oil and herbs
- dishwashing liquid
To be discussed in consultation:
- a fitted sheet for the mattress
- cool box
- gas bottle
