With a length of just under 6 meters—and only slightly wider (2.05m) than the well-known VW California minivan—it retains its ease of driving and parking. With a height of nearly 3 meters, this camper offers sufficient space and comfort for a fantastic holiday... even if you sometimes have to be careful at low bridges, certain parking spots, and around low-hanging tree branches.

This recent Grand California was built on a powerful VW Crafter L4 with 177 hp and is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and many options to make your ride safer and more comfortable: adaptive cruise control, lane assist, hill start assist, crosswind assist, a reversing camera, and both front and rear parking sensors. The onboard computer connects easily to your smartphone, which you can easily place in the provided holder.

The living area features a high-quality finish, tasteful design, and lighting. The removable dining table seats 4 people, and the front seats can be rotated. In cold weather, you can heat the camper with a Truma heating system, and in hot weather, you can turn on the air conditioning.

The kitchen unit is equipped with a spacious (70L) refrigerator with freezer compartment, a 2-burner gas stove, and a sink. Cooking your own meals during your holiday is a pleasure, even in less-than-ideal weather. Prefer to cook outside? On the outside, there is a spacious awning that protects you from rain and excessive sun. Furthermore, you can also set up the table on the outside of the kitchen unit, and there are 2 folding camping chairs and a small camping table integrated into the rear doors. The camper is equipped with crockery, glasses, and cutlery for 4 people. Also included are pans, cooking pots, a cutting board, etc., and even an Omnia oven for the gas hob (complete with cookbook).

The practical bathroom features a fold-down sink, a chemical toilet, and the option for a (hot) shower. You can also easily hang wet clothes here if you are traveling in a damp or cold environment. Prefer an outdoor shower? That is also possible; a connection and shower hose are integrated into the case… also handy for rinsing off your bike!

The Grand California features a large 110L drinking water tank and a 90L waste water tank. There are USB and 230V connections in multiple locations, allowing you to easily charge electrical and electronic devices anywhere.

The transverse bed at the back is spacious at 1.93 x 1.36 m. The mattresses provide good support and rest on slats for extra comfort; an additional mattress topper is available with the rental if desired! The cozy loft bed under the roof accommodates 1 adult or 2 children; it measures 1.90 / 1.60 m by 1.22 m and is designed for a maximum weight of 150 kg. It comes with fall protection and a ladder. Protective fitted sheets are fitted around the mattresses. Bedding and blankets/sleeping bags, including pillows, must be provided by the guests during the rental period.

The spacious trunk under the -partially foldable- transverse bed accommodates plenty of luggage. It doesn't matter if you are a cyclist, climber, hiker, or lover of culture or water activities... you will be able to fit most of your gear in there! There is a Thule bike rack for 2 bikes on the rear door.
