As I write this, I’m parked at the stunning Las Teresitas Beach, soaking in the sun and sea breeze from my vibrant yellow camper van – affectionately dubbed “The Beluga.” Locals and beachgoers wave, and look smiling at this van transformed into a cozy home-on-wheels. Inside, you’ll find a plush 190x160 bed for dreamy nights, a fully equipped kitchen to whip up your favorite meals, and a bathroom (just note, no hot water). Plus, it’s loaded with adventure gear – think snorkel masks, trekking poles, and binoculars – everything you need to dive into the magic of this incredible island.

Renting The Beluga is a ticket to freedom and a bit of friendly envy from passersby. But, let’s keep it real – there are a few quirks to this adventure. You can drive it with a standard car license, but because of the van’s size you need to be careful when driving on narrow roads and while parking . With its automatic gearbox, it cruises steadily, but it’s no speed demon when fully loaded.
